    Have just finished 4 days in #NHS. Given 50% more on top of my normal working hours for free. Why? Because I value & believe in #NHS & will just do my best to keep patient care safe but it feels like it is all slipping away. Not because of #wintercrisis but because of funding.

    As a #training programme director need to support trainees who 1. Have repeated exam cancellations 2. Courses cancelled 3. Interviews changed 4. Redeployment 5. Reduced training 6. Trauma of #COVID19 @JCST_Surgery Need to avoid creation of a #losttribe @ASiTofficial @RCSnews

    Do you want to be a #Surgeon & are a woman? Ignore these conversations! On calls are impossible as a woman LTFT is impossible You cannot have a family Have to concentrate on surgery alone You have to be rich & connected #ILookLikeASurgeon #MedTwitter Any other myths to bust?

    Just going to say this for the last time. Less than full time trainees is a misnomer. They are full time trainees who have other responsibilities, they do not do less than you, they just dedicate their time in different ways. Lets change the terminology! What do you think?
