Loved chatting with Meetra from Lewisham Refugee & Migrant Network about their incredible work supporting people who’ve made Lewisham home. LRMN has spent 30+ years helping refugees and migrants thrive here. Join me in celebrating these community champions this #RefugeeWeek.

The CMS Committee's report on cultural touring in the EU is now out. After talking to stakeholders, we've found just how tough touring has been for UK artists post‑Brexit. It's time to remove barriers and boost support for performers.

The world's biggest clean air zone. Expanding the ULEZ wasn’t an easy decision, but evidence continues to show it was the right one for the health of millions of Londoners πŸ’š theguardian.com/environment/20…

Hi @thameswater, pretty sure this letter is a scam as I don't have a water meter! QR code and phone number also look dodgy. Could you confirm so I can warn my constituents? Thanks.
Photo of letter Vicky has received from Thames Water saying her water meter readings suggest she's got a leak.

Just to update, I have been in touch with @thameswater and they have confirmed it wasn’t a scam. I’ve fed back that communications should look less like scams and they have said they will look into this! We’re also due to meet in the future.

Labour's Awaab's Law means local authorities must: 🚨Resolve emergency issues in social housing within 24 hours of it being reported. 🌧️Address damp and mould within 10 days. 🏘️Hold social housing providers to account. Get in touch if you're a constituent & need help.

I recently met with a constituent to discuss furniture fire safety. Might sound a bit niche but it affects us all & new research has found over 1/4 of firefighters who were at the Grenfell fire are suffering long-term health disorders due to toxicities in the furniture. (1/2)

Firefighters worked hard overnight and have now fully extinguished this fire in #Bermondsey. At its height, the fire involved a large amount of refuse and the roof of a warehouse. A van and a car were destroyed by the fire. One man was treated on scene. Photo from 2300.
