There were some reports of slightly longer times for calls to connect & some people hung up before connections went through. We have been working with our vendor to resolve the issue, already see some areas where this is no longer an issue and hope it’s resolved everywhere soon.

🧵 We’re seeing reports of “911 outages” around the state. All reports are that calls have still been going through but not all of the information was showing up on the telecommunicators screen.

In hot weather, sunlight + heat + air pollution can form ground-level ozone, which can trigger asthma & other breathing issues. Limit activities like driving & using gasoline-powered gear during the day's hottest hours to avoid creating ozone. More info: bit.ly/3hJIu2J

The State Emergency Operations Center activated Friday to provide coordination and monitoring during the World Cup matches in Seattle. Partners from multiple state and federal agencies will be here in the coming weeks to provide assistance to local jurisdictions across the state.

Update: Incudes the Coast. Extreme Heat expected Sun, Jun 14th-Tue, Jun 16th. Daytime highs 92-100°F with overnight lows 63-67°F. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks. Don't leave people/animals in vehicles. Check on those who are vulnerable to heat. Beware of cold water shock.
