Introduction
Read and change your Miwlo workspace from your own tools: spaces, tasks, comments and community posts, over HTTPS with JSON.
Base URL
Every request goes to one base URL, over HTTPS:
text
https://api.miwlo.com/v1Your first request
- Create a token in Account settings, under API tokens. See Authentication.
- Keep it in an environment variable, such as
MIWLO_TOKEN, so it stays out of your code. - Ask who you are:
curl
curl https://api.miwlo.com/v1/me \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $MIWLO_TOKEN"If the token works, you get back yourself, the workspace and the token. See Who am I.
What you can do
| Area | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Workspace | You, the people in the workspace, and the spaces you can reach. |
| Task groups | Statuses and tags, listing tasks with filters, and creating tasks. |
| Tasks | Reading, changing and deleting one task. |
| Comments | Reading and adding comments on a task. |
| Communities | Reading and starting posts in a community. |
| Replies | Replying to posts and comments, and deleting them. |
How requests work
- Requests and replies are JSON. Requests that change things also accept form fields.
- Ids are the same ones you see in Miwlo's links, like
KQ7D2M9XWLAfor a task. - Dates look like
2026-10-20, and times are UTC, like2026-10-13T09:24:11Z. - Text is plain. A blank line starts a new paragraph, and mentions come back as
@Name.
The API acts as you. A token has your role and reaches only the spaces you can see, so it can't do anything you couldn't do in the app.
