For the first time in years I decided to perform some #CardMagic tonight with a friend group, I was so nervous but things worked out great! Everyone had fun and I feel accomplished
My family owns two sets of Phase 10, a rummy-style card game
However, the dimensions of the cards between these games is different by a milliliter or so, and it makes shuffling and handling an absolute pain for me as a card magic aficionado.
In any case, I recognised a difference between them, one says "Phase 10 ™" and the other says "Phase 10 ®" on the back of each card
So I spent way more time than I should have sorting the cards and separating them properly
Now the bezels of each deck is buttery smooth.
The cards still suck in general (like most non-bicycle cards do) but at least they aren't even worse
I gifted #OuterWilds to a total of five people so far!
Test test
I returned to #Clarkesworld on a quick trip I had and read the first story of issue 212:
Fishy by Alice Towey
I absolutely loved that short story because Fishy is a very adorable fish
Decided to go bike downtown and read at the plaza, the weather is cloudy and a little cold. Seems ideal for The Left Hand of Darkness.
I forgot to put a watch on my wrist this morning and it just feels wrong. I feel exposed
Check my weeknotes friendos
The first movie I watched this October is actually Klaus. Yes, the Christmas one.
Actually a masterpiece tho!
I wrote fiction for the first time in years!
I hope you guys enjoy it :3
Behold! Here's a surprise for you all...
I showed up on a podcast!
Wonders of Web Weaving #21: Me!
https://web-weaving.jamesg.blog/21
Excuse my English pronunciation :3
The transcript is simplified btw, some things can read a little weird lol
Having a pizza with friends! 🍕
🎶 Daft Punk's One More Time blasting in the background, having a great time :P
Avengers Endgame Endcore
I just watched #AvengersEndgameEncore and I had a wonderful time!
The audience awed at "I love you three thousand"
Enjoyed seeing "America's Ass"
Cried with Natasha's sacrifice
Lost their minds at Steve lifting up the hammer
Teared up seeing Black Panther once again
Cheered with Spider-Man's return
Screamed at "Avengers Assemble"
Stayed silent after "I... am... Iron Man"
And well, what can I say? The movie is not perfect, not at all, but it still hits, and I loved watching it on the big screen once again even though the extra content ain't really worth it by itself, it's a nice bonus
Definitely worth the rewatch
Behold:
Donuts.
This is such a cool little gadget
