Soulscrape writes a dated dossier on a person, a company, or a product: how they decide, work, and change. Facts, stated beliefs, patterns, and speculation are kept apart, and every claim links to its source. It runs as a skill in Claude Code or Codex on your own model. Keep the dossier private or publish it.

Ask your agent to set it up: soulscrape.com

From sources to a dossier

Research one subject, with a record of what supports each claim.

  1. Choose the sources

Give your agent writing, talks, interviews, filings, or releases you are allowed to use. Set the purpose, audience, and date range. Private sources stay in your agent's environment.

  2. Read the dossier

The skill connects the subject's documented beliefs and decisions to their sources. It keeps contradictions, uncertainty, and open questions visible.

  3. Keep it private or publish

Use it in your own work, or review a public version and publish it. Readers can follow the sources, cite it, or give it to their agent.

Step 1 of 6. First the agent writes down who, why, and which sources.

Read the claims alongside their evidence

A dossier connects documented beliefs and decisions, practical guidance, tensions, and open questions. Its structure follows the available evidence.

See a sample dossier outline

The document's sections follow the evidence. A shortened outline:

# <Subject>: a dated working model

> Status: Partial, source-bounded, dated, and revisable. The subject's
> current words, choices, and corrections outrank this document.

## Executive model
The patterns that best explain the subject's demonstrated choices,
with source references and counterevidence.

## Practical operating manual
How to bring context, disagree, decide, draft, verify, and close loops.

## Tensions, limits, and revision hooks
Where the evidence conflicts, where the model predicts poorly, and what
new evidence should change it.

## What not to infer
Sensitive, unsupported, stale, or out-of-scope conclusions.

Soulscrape separates facts, stated beliefs, revealed patterns, and speculation. contradictions, historical change, and alternative explanations stay in the model.

Keep the research within its limits

Authorized sources
Use sources you have permission to use for this purpose. Having someone's messages or public information does not authorize imitating them or acting in their name.
A clear purpose
Choose the subject, the question, and who the result is for. The dossier stays focused on that purpose.
Research under your instructions
Web research is optional and follows the sources and dates you choose. Findings link back to the evidence.
Claims you can check
Facts, stated beliefs, patterns, and speculation stay separate. Contradictions remain visible, and confidence reflects the evidence examined.

Questions

Do I need an account or a paid plan?

No. The full skill runs in your agent without a Soulscrape account, and public pages and read APIs are free without sign-in. A free Hraness account is needed only to publish, update, or withdraw your own indexes. Charges from your agent, model, or research tools are separate.

Where does the research happen?

In your agent environment, with your model, tools, and the sources you allow. Private sources and working documents stay there, under its data practices. Hraness receives only the reviewed public packet you publish, plus the account and device details needed to publish it.

Is Soulscrape a digital twin?

A dossier can be a starting point for an assistant when the person has authorized that use. It remains a dated interpretation of selected evidence, not a complete picture of the subject.

Can I use it to understand someone else?

Yes, as a private collaboration guide built from evidence you are allowed to use. Imitating their voice or building a reusable assistant that works like them needs their explicit authorization. The skill does not evaluate their character or fitness or support consequential decisions about them, even with authorization.

Can it model a company or a product?

Yes. The same evidence discipline applies to organizations and products: a dated record of decisions, design language, history, and relationships, with every claim cited. The packet's subject kind marks which it is, and a company or product dossier never implies a human mind behind it.

Does it search the web about people?

Not by default. Web research turns on when you ask for it, name a URL, or need a time-sensitive public fact checked. It follows your source, date, and depth limits, never bypasses access controls or collects contact details, and stops when your questions are answered.

What does a published index contain?

An essay, cited claims, a timeline, themes, works, appearances, relations to people and organizations, and open questions. The web page and JSON packet carry the full index; the Markdown copy carries the essay.
