Why we built it

Everyone carries a clock in their pocket, so you'd think the problem was solved. It isn't.

Teachers need a timer big enough to read from the back row. Students on locked school Chromebooks can't install anything. People working from a laptop don't want to dig out their phone to time a 25-minute focus block. And plenty of us are standing in a kitchen with a laptop already open and flour on our hands.

Same problem every time: you need a clock on the screen you're already looking at. That's what TimerJet is.

What's inside

An alarm clock that'll wake you at any minute of the day. Timers from 1 second to 24 hours. A stopwatch. Countdowns to the dates you're waiting on. And a full-screen classroom mode — digits sized for a projector, plus a color bar that shows the whole room how much time is left without anyone saying a word.

How we think about it

We borrowed our design sense from cockpits. Big numbers, high contrast, nothing on the screen that isn't doing a job. A pilot doesn't need decoration — they need to read the instrument in half a second and get back to flying.

That's the whole idea. Time moves fast either way. TimerJet just makes sure it's moving in your direction.
