How to Use the Classroom Timer

Pick a visual style for your classroom timer: a sand-filled hourglass, a sweeping analog clock, or a burning candle, then set the hours, minutes, and seconds and press Start.

The animation runs smoothly for the full countdown, giving students a clear, at-a-glance sense of how much time is left.

Choose an alert sound (or none) to play when time runs out, and pick it up again anytime from the settings sidebar.

The classroom timer will not run if you close this browser tab or shut down your computer, but it works fully offline once the page has loaded.

Switch styles at any point by going back to the picker; your duration and sound choice carry over to the next run.
