Dear Podficcer, ITPE letter 2025

averytreeHello podficcer! This will be my first ITPE since the fest moved to tumblr, but my 10th overall, and I'm very happy to return to this community. The fandoms I listed in my ao3 signup were Kpop, Merlin, Transformers, and Buzzfeed Unsolved but I included more information about favorite ships and groups below the cut:
Here are all the fandoms and ships I'm most interested in:
-Seventeen (Kpop RPF): There are so many potential pairings among these 13 members! Wow! I particularly like Jeonghan/Seungcheol, Jeonghan/Mingyu, Seungkwan/Vernon, Mingyu/Jihoon, and Seungcheol/Mingyu and I would also probably like any story that has Seungkwan, Mingyu or Jeonghan as a main character. I also love stories with Vernon in awkward platonic friendship with people lolol. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-Stray Kids (Kpop RPF): I adore Han/Lee Know. Han/Hyunjin gives me brain worms. Han/Changbin is such a win. Han/Felix is a delight. Honestly, I'd read Han shipped with anyone at this point (except maybe IN because I like head cannoning him as aroace). I also love reading Han as a trans male character. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-ZeroBaseOne (Kpop RPF): My shiny boys! My top ship is Matthew/Jiwoong, but I'd be happy for a side ship of Hanbin/Hao. Or a Hanbin/Hao story that has Matthew/Jiwoong in the background. I also find Ricky, Taerae and Gunwook very funny and would love a story that has them bantering/bickering. Please, do not record a story for me that centers either Gyuvin or Yujin... I just find them way less interesting than all of the other members of the group lol. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-Shinee (Kpop RPF): This is really the only kpop group where I have a single exclusive OTP and that is Key/Minho because of course. I'm comfortable with stories that mention Jonghyun or his passing. I've been really dipping my toes into Shinee fic this year and having a great time. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-Transformers, specifically, stories that really dig into the lore and fill out deeper/queerer/more emotional parts of the canon. My introduction to Transformers was Astolat's fic and I remain deeply obsessed with her take on lore. I've also read all of and really enjoyed Therrae's Xenoethnography series. So, my interests range from Optimus Prime/Megatron filth to deeply emotional enemies to lovers stories about trying to end the war to gen fic that builds out the Transformers universe. My favorite characters to read about are Optimus/Orion Pax, Megatron, Ratchet, Swindle, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Cyclonus. My only touch points of the canon are the first Michael Bay Transformer movie (2007) and The Transformers: The Movie (1986), everything else I know is just from fic. For this fandom, I am happy with stories of any rating from gen to explicit.
-BBC Merlin! Merlin/Arthur is the OTP of my heart. They are my boys forever. I much prefer modern AUs to stories set in the canon of the show, especially college AUs or ones where they have interesting jobs. Modern royalty stories make my heart melt with happiness. Also I like Morgana/Gwen as a side ship. Or Gwen/Lance. Or Morgana/Morgause. Or Morgana/Gwaine. Or Morgana/Leon. (Basically I just love Morgana, or any story which includes a wide secondary character cast.) I also love Gwen, and always enjoy character-study type stories which focus on her, whether romantic or not. For this fandom, I am happy with stories of any rating from gen to explicit.
-Buzzfeed Unsolved: Wow, I got sucked in by yet another RPF pairing? Shocking. I haven't read that much Ryan/Shane but I find them quite delightful.
Secondary fandoms:
-BTS (Kpop RPF): My favorite ships are RM/Jin, and RM/Yoongi. I'm not really interested in any other ships at this time. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-Mamamoo (Kpop RPF): My ship is Moonbyul/Solar, and I would love to see stories about them as friends or as a couple or character studies. For this group I'd prefer gen or teen stories.
-EXO (Kpop RPF): My main ships are Kai/Sehun or Kai/DO. I like them both equally. I'm not really interested in other ships at the moment. I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
-Ateez (Kpop RPF): I love a Wooyoung/San or a Wooyoung/San/Yeosang ot3 especially when they are chaos gremlins! The only other ships I have read for this group are Hongjoong/Seonghwa and Hongjoong/Mingi. For this group I'd prefer gen or teen stories.
-Monsta X (Kpop RPF): My favorite ship is Kihyun/IM. I like stories were Kihyun is very bossy and IM is very into it :D I'd be happy with a story rated anywhere between gen-explicit.
Things I like in fic in general:
I love stories that make me laugh.
Pranks, banter, shenanigans, ill-advised ideas (that turn out to be great ideas!)
Idiots-to-lovers or enemies-to-allies-to-friends-to-lovers trope.
"Can our love end the war?" (especially for Transformers)
Established relationship stories.
AUs in other canons- for example, Kpop group is now a Star Trek space crew.
Literally any space AU, whether original or inspired by Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, BSG, etc
Fake-to-real relationship.
Genderplay/gender exploration/gender fluidity.
Bisexual characters, pansexual characters, trans characters, aro and ace characters.
Side-ships. I love it when I've got two or more teams to root for!
OT3, OT4, etc (prefer when jealousy is not a major theme)
I like when it's obvious the fic writer has a ton of niche knowledge about something and decided to put it ALL into the story.
For Kpop RPF, I prefer when the characters are written as culturally Korean, and in my reading I try to prioritize stories set in Korea (unless it's a sci-fi AU), or if they live in another country, it is explained why/how the whole Korean friend group ended up there. I don't want an American high school or college AU where the characters could easily be replaced by white characters.
Things I'm not into:
Omega verse.
Harry Potter AUs.
Pregnancy- male or female (exception: Transformers)
Love triangles in which one person is doomed to be unhappy/alone/excluded.
Non-con or dub-con.
Underage.
Zombie AUs.
