I love to write, and I love to read.

I guess I've always loved fanfic, though I didn't have a name for it for a very long time. When I discovered actual written-up fanfic stories on the internets, it felt like coming home. I lurked around online fandoms -- a lot of them -- for an embarrassingly long period of time before finally getting a journal of my own and screwing up the courage to post something.

Since then, I've met so many wonderful people online, and learned so much about writing and life. Rather than describing my fannish loves, I'll let my fic and journal entries speak for themselves.

My Friending/Subscription/Access Policy: Anyone, feel free to friend me/subscribe at any time - the more, the merrier. No one needs to ask. Defriend at will: I understand that interests change, and won't take anything like this personally!

I'm trying to keep my friends list to a manageable size, due to an extremely time-pressed life and the fact I use it as a reading list. Please know that it is nothing personal if you friend me and I don't friend you back. I love all of you! I almost never post anything flocked so it really shouldn't make any difference? Thanks for understanding.:)(Likewise, if I friend you, don't feel pressure to do so back; it just means I'm interested in following your journal... but having said that, new friends are awesome :)).

As to "access" on dw: Due to rl concerns having to do with both professional and family matters, I usually want to get to know people a bit first by following them/and/or having a bit of conversation on dw or lj before I grant access/friend. This is nothing personal!

My Pinboard and my Recs on my lj: I wanted to add a word here about my Pinboard, linked on the side of my lj page, and my other recs. Because I'm not particularly organized and do not have a lot of time, the stories you see saved on here don't by *any* means reflect my total opinion about stories in a fandom. In other words, if your fic isn't there, it doesn't by any means mean I didn't like it! It likely just means I didn't read it, or forgot to save it when I did read it and liked it. I'm a very disjointed/unorganized Pinboard-er. Sometimes I don't even read in the fandoms I might have one or two stories from, but somehow I randomly came across them. I've debated even having it be public for this very reason, but decided on balance to keep it, because I know how much I love coming across a trove of fic on other people's lists. (And even with all the above disclaimers, the things I DO save are things I most definitely recommend!)

My policy on use of my work. You don't need to to ask permission (but feel free to if you prefer) to make podfic, sequels, remixes, sequels, translations/commentary/whatever based on my work. Ditto, art. You are likely to be smothered in kisses for doing any of these things with my work, in fact. If you make art or podfic or other creative interpretations of my work I will never let you go. <3

Though it is not absolutely necessary, I would very much love is to hear from you if you do any of those things. I would love you to notify me by commenting on any post of mine or sending me an email, and include a link to your work. I am very likely to post about your work, and/or provide a link on my journals so people who are interested can find it. I consider such things to be highly flattering and I love them as part of the give and take of fandom, so yay to anyone who even thinks about doing any of these things! <3

I do care about my work being credited, so if you do any of the above things, please do include a link back to my fic.

My policy on critique. I'm never going to be upset if someone lets me know that they were hurt by my work in some way, or that it's offensive in some way. I care a lot about warning properly, and not being an idiot about what and how I write things. However, I'm definitely capable of messing up, believe me, and I promise you, PROMISE you, I will not get angry at you if you express an opinion to me. I might or might not end up agreeing, but I welcome feedback. And I mean that. I especially want to know if I've done something Faily in my writing, but I welcome feedback of any kind.
