HISTORY
Kimberley didn't always work the streets and alleys of Colndor, as she did when she was first introduced to Druce by the way of his father, Lewis. In fact her family were once fairly wealthy traders near the Atsirian border, in the city of Salinda. Even while in Salinda, she often found herself in the bed of some stranger in exchange for coin, but it was not something that she ever was willing to admit to her parents. She never saw it as a profession exactly, but rather a source of extra income and a bit of fun after spending her evenings working in one of the local taverns as a barmaid, sometimes going out of her way to take on the task of entertaining their patrons with dancing. It was seldom her idea to take part in more promiscuous activities, but if someone who seemed nice enough throughout the course of an evening proposed they should get together, she would name a price and sometimes they accepted. She's never had her eye out for anyone other than to spend an evening with, and in fact the prospect of settling down with one person has always been a bit foreign to her.
One day word had come through the tavern where she worked of a new play being put on in the city of Norey. The play was controversial, but little in Norey was ever not. She convinced her parents to take their business to Norey to give her the chance to do something more with her life than spend her evenings in taverns serving drunken fools their drinks and a bit of eye candy. After a grueling audition, it turned out that several other unknown actresses had gained the female parts in the play instead, and she didn't even get a spot in the chorus. She didn't get her hopes up, for she knew the chances of getting a part were slim, but it was a let down none the less.
Her family stayed in Norey for some time after the auditions were over, in order to finish up business before heading back to Salinda. This allowed Kimberley the chance to see the play in action as well as enjoy the city, despite the storms that befell it at the time. Shortly after the play had run it's course, her parents had finally sold the last of their goods to the citizens of Norey and had began packing up for the return home. Kimberley had spent the night prior to their return trip it in the home of a wealthier young man, whom was quite interested in her, and offered a large sum of coin, more than her usual asking price, for her to spend the evening with him. That was the night that the tornado struck the city.
The next morning, Kimberley made her way through the devastated city to find her parents, but found the inn they were staying in completely wiped out. She stayed around the city for a few weeks after, hoping that her parents might have made it out alive, but she had no such luck. As the days went by, her funding was becoming less and less, and soon she was forced to depart for Colndor, where she expected she could at least attempt to make a living selling her body. She knew little of her parents' business and her time in the taverns was barely enough to pay for her meals.
Colndor proved to allow her to barely break even. That is until a man offered to pay for an entire day with her, for his son as a birthday present. It was indeed a peculiar request of a father, but the money was right so she took the job. Unfortunately, the usual pleasure that went with a job such as that, was lacking in this particular client. The young man had little to no interest in anything but small talk, the arena, and food, and in fact seemed pretty embarrassed about the entire ordeal. He even insisted sleeping on the floor while she spent the night in his bed. Despite her efforts, he was seemingly immune to her advances.
After a rather unsatisfying 24 hours, she left the young man the next day, and assumed she had seen the last of him and his father. Unfortunately he had returned one month later with another interesting proposal. She was to escort him on a boat to Razen in order to fool his father into thinking he was getting married. The money for the trip was right, and anywhere had to be better than Colndor, especially after the influx of refugees from Norey. She reluctantly agreed, spending the next few weeks playing cards, talking, and attempting to convince the young man to let her do what she was originally paid for.
Upon reaching Razen, she found an even worse situation than Colndor. It seemed her line of work was even less in demand than anywhere she'd been in Kanemoria, and the taverns didn't pay all that well either. There was also the beginnings of an uprising over the council overturning the Queen's orders, which gave her concern. Fortunately, the young man returned to her with a proposal to take her along with his group of friends towards Cleraine, and eventually out of Atsiria and to somewhere she might be able to make a living for herself again. She once again reluctantly agreed, only to find herself trekking across the desert with a large group of strangers and one prophet who spoke of Goddesses.
PERSONALITY
Kimberley is outgoing, kind, caring, and has a wonderful sense of humor. Since meeting Druce she has constantly given him a hard time about not allowing her to do what she has paid to, but has since given up on trying to get him to have sex and instead gives him a hard time just to spite him. It is unlikely she'd give him the opportunity if he offered, or paid her for it again, only because he has ignored her advances for so long. She has a deep interest in music, specifically that of the guitar, enjoys playing cards, and is actually fairly smart despite some of her less intelligent life choices.
She looks on her profession with a small hint of shame, as she is afraid what her parents might think if they knew, or rather if they would have known, but isn't very quick to show any sign of such. She does what she feels she has to in order to get by, often making choices without fully thinking them through, but things have been going well enough and she usually looks at any situation with a smile on her face hoping for the best. Despite her feeling a hint of shame because of her parents, she has no problems with other people knowing her profession or looking down upon her for it. She will, however, do her best to prove that she's not just some common street urchin.
APPEARANCE
Kimberley has long flowing red hair, bright blue eyes, and a huge rack. She's somewhat short, standing about 5'4”, and on the thinner side, but well fit and quite athletic. She tends to dress in brighter colors and almost always something that's tight fitting and revealing.
