LJ security heads-up
Wednesday, 1 September 2010 10:21 pmAm ridiculously busy with work (I started last week because I took over the role of one admin assistant who was leaving, then the other admin assistant abruptly resigned last evening so I'm basically doing two people's job when I'm still finding my feet) and am furiously trying to assemble material for my progression review (my annual review report, lit review chapter, methodology, the analysis chapter I'm working on, abstracts of other chapters, contents page for what I've done so far and a timeplan, ahahahaohgod).
However, LJ is messing around with privacy settings, particularly those linking your LJ account to your facebook/twitter accounts and pingbacks including extracts from locked posts. The commentary by zvi seems pretty comprehensive and includes links to other discussions. Needless to say, I maintain a distinction between my personal journal and public/professional identities and ask that others respect this.
