Human
Always do everything by hand, even when using the computer.
Hayao Miyazaki
The work I create is all crafted by a human being. While I do most of my work digitally, that work is intentional and hand-guided to completion. I care deeply about the mindful intention of any human expression, whether I'm creating it myself or experiencing someone else's creation.
Generative AI and LLM technologies are not used, ever, in the research, design or implementation and creation of any of my work and likely never will be. Unless they find ways to become sustainable, responsible and respectful of the existing human expression they have stolen to repurpose as mindless slop, all while actively destroying the education of humanity's children and ruining the experience of using and hosting on the web, I won't be interacting with their models any time soon.
Regardless of ethics, I find it insulting to my own human experience that I should willingly reduce myself to farming the output of a random generator and conning myself or others into believing I am doing anything meaningful. Even though my time is limited, I still choose to make things with my hands, and my mind, even if it takes longer and even if I'm using a computer.
