Sigh
And my computer is dead again; this time it's the actual tower. I swear, when it rains ... it pours.

How many weeks now have I been complaining to my brother about it being funky? Yet he keeps putting off fixing my shit... and now it's dead and he thinks it's the RAM (but he hasn't looked at it yet but from what I described... so might be more than that).

Sigh. Back on the laptop, which I hate using "full time". No idea when he'll take the time to work it now ...

Monday Woes
Okay, I think I am caught up on everyone (between Saturday and this morning). I just want to send out group hugs since a few are dealing with some things right now *group hug!*

I had a pretty fantastic three day weekend … until last night. I was in the middle of playing WoW (I signed back up on Saturday… haha)… when my monitor went completely pitch black (and of course it happened in the middle of a quest, so I kept hearing my avatar fighting, rofllllll—luckily it was one of the quests where someone guides you, so they were probably doing the brunt of the damage). Luckily it happened around 10:00pm, so I was about to shut down anyway …but that really blows. That means forking over money I had no intention of spending … sigh.

My brother tried everything last night too …. He tried new wires, he tried to go in through his computer (remote desktop) and messing with settings… but it was completely fried. So, I ended up buying a new one last night for $150.00 that should arrive Thursday. My brother said they use them at work and they’re a really good brand, so we’ll see.

That also puts off my Kindle purchase (was going to buy it on the 30th). I HAVE the money … I just don’t want to spend it though, with this recent new purchase, plus the money I spent this weekend on baby clothes. So, maybe at the end of July/August I’ll get the Kindle.

Other than that crappy FAIL … it really was a great (and too quick of a) weekend. It rained a bit, which cooled everything down a lot; this made both my asthma and I very happy. It’s sunny out today, but there’s a beautiful breeze and no humidity whatsoever… I love it.

I just paid this month’s car payment, which puts me with SIX more left … I cannot express how effin’ happy I am about that. It will be so nice to have that chunk of cash going into savings once January 2012 hits … SO NICE (of course if the world ends in 2012, fat good that does me :D). I should be able to build a savings quickly after that (as long as crap doesn’t break down *knocks on wood* causing to be buy stuff I do not expect to be buying!).

I should also have my credit card paid off in 4-5 months … so THAT chunk of change will also be going into savings. God … I am not even paid off yet, but I already feel so relieved … *dances*

Anyway … Enough of my money woes! Work flow has been pretty good. It’s just enough to keep me ‘entertained’, but not crazy enough to drive me nuts. This is how it will be throughout June. Once our “summer hours” begin … boredom takes on a whole new definition.

Every year, after the week of July 4th, we begin our “Summer Hours”; we shut down completely on Fridays, and everyone has to do their hours in 4 days, instead of 5 … Which, sucks for the full timers (they come in earlier, only get ½ hour lunch instead of 1 hour, and leave later). So, longer days but we get 3 day weekends for a month and a half. Personally, it’s worth it for me because I do almost all my hours in 4 days anyway …but the summers are SO DEAD – no one comes by so it’s so quiet! Drives us all nuts with ‘boredom’.

Thankfully, I have vacation the last 2 weeks of July so it’s not too bad. Don’t think we’re doing anything this year (crap is just too expensive and I am boycotting gasoline). Yeah … boycotting it. I am only driving to work which is ‘necessary’. Anything else? I am not going ANYWHERE! It’s going to be a very boring summer, but I bet if a LOT more people were boycotting like I will be, these filthy gas companies would change their tune!

If I wasn’t about to pay off my car and wasn’t looking forward to having that ‘free’ cash … I would so invest in an electric car (the LEAF is the one I want VERY BADLY!)… but I really can’t do another car payment … I need to save up for at least 2 years before I think about a ‘new’ car.

Okay, shutting up now … Mondays… URG!

The clone would be a HUMAN being. Are people forgetting that? Just because he/she was engineered by science, doesn't make him/her less human. To 'use' this clone for organs would be beyond unethical; in my opinion. What if the CLONE became ill, would it be ok to chop you up and give your parts to the clone?

Also, realistically, the clone would be a LOT younger? In most cases I would assume. If youre 98 and your clone is 2 years old, how are his/her lungs going to work for you when you decided to smoke you're entire life away and are now dying?

Not just that, but we're always complaining about over population, a world full of folks who are starving to death because food cannot be manufactured enough for said people; so the idea is to create MORE mouths to feed? Yeah, makes loads of sense.

Yeah, it all sounds 'cool' and so advanced, but the consequences are beyond grave and thats more important than how it 'sounds' or 'looks'. Humanity ... will it ever learn?

So, my answer is a huge resounding "NO, I DO NOT agree with cloning in any way, shape or form." We were meant to be born, live, and die.. stop trying to change that.

And, in other news... I have my old crappy laptop working... barely. I guess just enough for me to comment to this. Tomorrow I work, and then am headed to Massachusetts to visit family.

I'll catch up better when I get my PC working again (part ordered, waiting for it to arrive and be installed).
