Better Nokia N900 keyboard layout
Mar. 15th, 2013 04:30 pmMy modified rx-51 as described at the Maemo Wiki: http://wiki.maemo.org/Remapping_keyboard
It makes the keyboard work like this:

It's significantly more functional than the original keyboard. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that. :(
rx-51:
tl;dr the wiki:
1. Backup /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/nokia_vndr/rx-51 to MyDocs (or anywhere other than the nokia_vndr folder).
2. Save the above to a file, and use it to overwrite /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/nokia_vndr/rx-51 (you need the proper permissions).
3. Run setxkbmap, if it reports any errors, restore the backup and verify the modified rx-51 is correct or you'll be sorry.
Note: Some of this was derived from a couple of other rx-51 modifications.
