About Speech Swallowing & Neurological Rehabilitation

Specialized Adult Speech & Swallowing Care in Tyler, Texas

Speech Swallowing & Neurological Rehabilitation (SSNR) was founded on a simple belief:
Adults facing neurological, swallowing, or communication challenges deserve more than rushed appointments and generic therapy plans.

They deserve to be seen, heard, and treated as whole people.

SSNR is a private practice dedicated exclusively to adult and geriatric speech-language pathology, offering highly specialized, evidence-based care in a warm, supportive environment—free from hospital system limitations.

Why Speech Swallowing and Neurological Rehabilitation Exists

Many of our patients come to us after being brushed off by their providers, with phrases like:

  • “This is just part of aging.”
  • “You’re doing okay enough.”
  • “There’s nothing more we can do.”

We don’t believe that.

When swallowing, language, cognition, or voice are affected, quality of life changes dramatically. Meals become isolating. Conversations feel frustrating. Independence begins to slip away.

The team at SSNR works  to restore function, dignity, and confidence. We want to guide patients and families through complex medical journeys with clarity and compassion.

Personalized, Evidence-Based Care. Without System Restrictions

Because SSNR is not affiliated with a hospital system, we are able to:

  • Provide longer, more comprehensive evaluations
  • Customize therapy without productivity pressures or preset limits
  • Offer advanced specialty programs rarely available in outpatient clinics
  • Build genuine relationships with our patients and their families

Our clinicians don’t just treat diagnoses — we treat people.

We know our patients’ goals, their hobbies, their families, and what makes life meaningful to them. Therapy at SSNR is built around real life, not checklists.
