When I was a child I never played with Barbie dolls, instead I either had my head in a book or was glued to the telly and silver screens. My youth was spent dreaming of fairies and unicorns and journeying into space to discover new worlds and civilisations in galaxies far far away.
Now that I'm older the only thing that has changed is the addition of a new smaller screen that opens up the world of cyberspace and my dreams now involve cute F1 racing drivers, pretty tennis players and oodles of slashy romance.
Of course, RL for a modern woman living in the big city also entails work and music and family and friends and travel and dreading Mondays and wishing it were Friday, and always starting the diet again tomorrow, and not having enough time, and hoping Fernando, Kimi or Nico win the next Grand Prix, and never having the right thing to wear, and worrying that I seem to like the fantasy better than all of that!
In fact this is me in a nutshell:
I suppose one of the main things you should know about this journal is that I write fic and fanfic of the slash variety. So if that squicks you, then count yourself warned.
