Terms and Conditions
The basic rules for using Commune and participating in the community.
Last updated June 18, 2026
Using Commune
By accessing Commune, creating an account, posting content, joining groups, or using any community feature, you agree to follow these Terms and all policies referenced here.
If you are using Commune on behalf of a company, project, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account and for keeping your login access secure.
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your profile reasonably current, and not impersonate another person, project, company, or community.
Community Content
You keep ownership of the content you share, including posts, replies, project pages, group messages, images, and other material you submit.
You grant Commune permission to host, display, distribute, and process that content as needed to operate and improve the service.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Commune to harass others, post unlawful content, spam the community, interfere with the service, scrape private areas, bypass access controls, or misrepresent your affiliation with another person or organization.
Do not upload malware, attempt to access accounts or systems without permission, automate abusive activity, manipulate rewards or rankings, abuse invite or messaging features, or use Commune to coordinate scams, phishing, fraud, or other harmful activity.
We may limit, remove, or restrict access to content, accounts, groups, or projects when needed to protect the community or comply with legal obligations.
Moderation, Reports, and Enforcement
Commune may review, hide, remove, downrank, restrict, suspend, or preserve content, accounts, projects, groups, messages, or other activity when we believe it violates these Terms, creates risk for the community, or may be required by law.
Members may report content or behavior that appears abusive, illegal, misleading, infringing, or otherwise harmful. Reports should be made in good faith and include enough context for us to review the issue.
We may use automated systems, manual review, or community signals to detect abuse and enforce these Terms. Enforcement decisions may not always be immediate or error-free, and we may reverse or update a decision after additional review.
Projects, Groups, and Third-Party Links
Project pages, group pages, launch listings, and external links are provided by community members. Commune is not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, smart contracts, or claims made by members.
You are responsible for evaluating opportunities, links, downloads, wallets, and transactions before acting on them.
No Endorsement of Member Content
Commune does not endorse, verify, guarantee, or take responsibility for member posts, project claims, launch announcements, group activity, investment claims, hiring claims, testimonials, fundraising statements, product promises, external links, or other community content.
Any decision to join a group, support a project, contact another member, click a link, purchase a product, use a service, or rely on information shared by a member is your responsibility.
Promotional Content and Disclosures
If you share sponsored content, paid promotions, affiliate links, referral links, compensated endorsements, testimonials, investment interests, or any other material connection that could affect how others understand your post, you must clearly disclose that connection.
You are responsible for making sure your promotional content is truthful, not misleading, and compliant with applicable advertising, consumer protection, securities, and disclosure rules.
Rewards, Levels, and Virtual Resources
Commune may offer platform features such as gold, diamonds, streak freezes, awards, levels, badges, points, rankings, boosts, or other virtual resources. These features are part of the Commune experience only.
Virtual resources have no cash value, do not represent money, property, securities, stored value, or a transferable financial instrument, and cannot be sold, redeemed, transferred, or exchanged outside Commune unless we explicitly allow it in writing.
We may adjust, revoke, expire, reset, rebalance, or discontinue virtual resources and progression systems at any time, including when we detect abuse, technical errors, fraud, or activity that harms the community.
Payments, Subscriptions, and Billing
Paid features, memberships, subscriptions, boosts, or other purchases may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. By purchasing a paid feature, you agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize applicable charges, taxes, renewals, and payment-provider processing.
Subscription plans may renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for canceling before the next billing period if you do not want a renewal charge. Access to paid features may be limited, downgraded, or suspended if a payment fails, is reversed, or is disputed.
Unless a specific written refund policy or applicable law says otherwise, payments are non-refundable once the paid period, purchase, or feature access has started. We may change prices, plans, or paid features prospectively with reasonable notice where required.
Intellectual Property and Feedback
Commune and its software, design, branding, trademarks, logos, systems, and non-user content are owned by Commune or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative services from Commune except as permitted by law or with written permission.
If you send ideas, feedback, bug reports, feature requests, or suggestions, you allow Commune to use them without restriction or compensation.
Service Changes
Commune may add, change, suspend, or remove features over time. We may also update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change.
Continued use of Commune after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimers
Commune is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that Commune will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available in every location, or suitable for any specific purpose.
We do not guarantee that community content is accurate, that projects will succeed, that matches or recommendations will be useful, that paid features will produce any particular outcome, or that third-party services will remain available.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Commune and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or claims arising from member content or third-party services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Commune's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Commune for the service in the three months before the claim or USD $100.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Commune and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of Commune, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person's rights, or your violation of law.
Governing Law and Disputes
Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
Some rights and remedies cannot be limited by these Terms, and nothing here limits rights you may have under laws that apply to you.
