[FIRST Jobs] has not only enabled us to benefit from [our intern’s] skills and insights but has also underscored the value of providing interns with a comprehensive and immersive professional experience.

We’re grateful to Technology Alberta for the FIRST Jobs Program. Not only did it provide access to young and local tech talent, we learned a lot from the overall experience of integrating new team members. As a small start-up, it showed us the capacity needed to onboard new people and develop meaningful work. Additionally, it gave us insight into what’s involved in people learning our tech and becoming familiar enough to work on and create with our software and devices.

Thanks for arranging such a successful event. Connecting is so powerful, it gave my technical team insights to business success that can be achieved right here.

We are very pleased. The [FIRST Jobs] program is a great way to help new workers get experience AND it helps small businesses like ours. We were able to find our candidate a full time job in the field he was seeking. This has been a win-win

One of the most significant benefits of the FIRST Jobs program is its ability to help us attract top talent to our startup. In the competitive tech industry, skilled software developers and engineers are in high demand. Offering a salary matching grant can make the company’s compensation package more appealing compared to other startups or established tech companies.

The [FIRST Jobs Program] helps support our business and train great candidates.

I believe that this program presents a valuable chance for me to…establish new professional connections that may even lead to a full-time job opportunity.

Our team is our strength and our success to date has relied on engaging with the young talent in Alberta through internship, research and work experience programs. That is why we are one of the 50 Alberta tech companies who are pleased to work with Alberta students through programs like the Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs program.

We were happy to have someone on board that was still learning the ropes of our industry – they asked a lot of good q

The [FIRST Jobs] program significantly supported the development of our AI software, enabling us to add personnel who could implement new features, based on client recommendations. As a startup, this support was crucial—without it, implementing these enhancements would have been either impossible or would have significantly delayed our growth. Thank you, Technology Alberta!
