I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

i heard a similar rumor but mine said that anthropic models were working on a pivotal act proposal so powerful that if any ml researcher at any lab were to read it, it would halt all frontier ml capabilities research for three decades across the globe

There’s a viral Twitter rumor that Anthropic has SOLVED ALIGNMENT and plans to release the solution just before ipo. It did require 90% of their compute for about three decades. The rumors are that Anthropic would be INCREDIBLY PISSED if someone did the same and scooped them.
