The Big Stage

Lily is thoroughly enjoying (I mean the girl seriously LOVES) being part of the KidzPraise Choir at The People's Church every Sunday evening.  They are getting ready for  their Christmas program on December 14th - they'll get to sing on "the big stage!"  When I picked Lily up last night, one of her teachers asked if she could have a small speaking part in the program.  Ms. Dana said she'd have to be able to memorize her line and be willing to say it in a microphone on stage.  I was pretty sure this wouldn't be a problem for Lily!  Lily quickly agreed, and immediately wanted to start practicing.  She'll be reciting the first line of the Christmas story.  We are so excited for her and proud of her! :)

In addition to the excitement for Lily, I am thankful for what this could indicate about her behavior at choir.  You just never know what your kids are like when you are not around - and when your daughter is 4 going on 14 going on to rule the world, it is sometimes scary to let your imagination fill in the blanks!  I am taking this as proof that she is probably listening to her teachers and using her real voice (as opposed to the baby talk she reverts to at home so often).  Ms. Dana called her "sweet Lily" when we left - another positive indicator!  I am relieved, grateful, and proud of her! :)

I have also been thinking of all the people who will be attending the choir performance (other than Lily's fan club consisting of my entire side of the family!).  It is possible that many unbelievers will be going to the program, and will hear the story of Jesus.  What a neat opportunity for little Lily to take part in something that could reach people's hearts for Christ!

Will you please pray with us for Lily as well as for those who will be in attendance at the Christmas program?
