[ English ] Here is the promo for Brokenbeat Night, A free monthly event that promotes live electronic music & live video performance. The promo was a collaboration work between Swiss based video artist Lenny Herzog and myself.
[ Castellano ] Aca los promos para Brokenbeat Night, un evento mensual gratuito que promueve musica electronica y visuales en vivo. La promo animada fue una colaboracion mia con el artista generativo Suizo Lenny Herzog.
[ English ] Modul8 v2.6 Public Beta released today, among other improvements we see, Blend Modes, Sound Analysis, 4 Camera Imputs. This public beta is free for testing to all registered users and will expire on 30.09.2009. The final release will be a paid upgrade of 49 euros. For users who purchased modul8 within the last year the upgrade is free.
[ Castellano ] Hoy se lanza el a Modul8 v2.6 Public Beta , entre otras mejoras podemos ver, Blend Modes, Sound Analysis ,y imput para hasta 4 camaras. Esta beta publica es gratis para todos lo usuarios registrados y expirara el 30/09/09. El final sera un upgrade pago de 49 Euros. Para usuarios que hayan comprado Modul8 en este ultimo ano, el upgrade sera gratuito.
[ English ] It's not very often I post my own work here, but I think this one might be interesting to other visualists. A little homage to 10 music artists that inspire me while I'm doing design work, the project shows 10 portraits of music artists and a personal record suggestion for when you want creative inspiration. All portraits are designed in square format, reminiscent of record covers, which I believe to be the strongest link between music and visual arts (maybe the true origins of Vjing?). This still covers including Modul8. in the production process.
[ English ] No muy seguido pongo mis trabajos, pero pense que esto podria interesarle a otros visualistas. Se trata de un pequeno homenaje a 10 artistas que me inspiran mientras trabajo en proyectos de diseno grafico. El proyecto muestra 10 retratos de artistas y una sugerencia personal a un album del artista. Todos los retratos fueron disenados en formato cuadrado, como el de las tapas de los discos, lo cual creo que es la coneccion mas fuerte entre musica y grafica, quizas hasta el verdadero origen del Vjing? Utilize Modul8 en el proceso de creacion, pueden ver el set completo aca.

[ English ] Sorry for the lack of posts lately, things have been busy! In the meantime, check out (Japan)Takcom™'s work... I'm truly amazed, no words!, I can tell he is a designer, because has a great style too. The first one is a video for Himuro Yoshiteru The second one looks like a demo reel of his live work as a VJ.

El primer video es para el artista Himuro Yoshiteru, el segundo parece ser una especie de demo reel de trabajos como Vj.
[ English ] Here are some of the photos and video from the last Brokenbeat Night this time, with live visuals by Xarene Eskandar and Naute, where they experimented with a new project, called Andiamo that Andres (Naute) is developing in Processing, to incorporate live drawing, realtime video tracking, and is performed in "team mode" with Modul8. [ Castellano ] Aca algunas de las fotos y video de lo que fue el ultimo Brokenbeat Night, esta vez con las visuales en vivo de Xarene Eskandar y Naute, quienes experimentaron con un nuevo proyecto llamado Andiamo, que Andres (Naute) esta construyendo en Processing, y que utiliza dibujo y tracking de video en timpo real y es actuado en "modo equipo" con Modul8. Para aquellos interesados en sabes mas sobre la parte tecnica de este proyecto, pueden ver mas aca.

[ English ] This is a really nice piece by Sati , I like the simplicity of the initial part of the video, just a few lines well synchronized with the music can really go a long way, it's not often that you see stuff like this in clubs, usually there is a lot of information being displayed on the screen, multiple layers at the same time, etc. Simple stuff like this always gets my attention.
Sati explains"..(we are) an audiovisual band composed of Erwan Raguenes and myself Jesse Lucas. We write the music together. And then work on ideas for the visuals (often during the track composition). On stage SATI play live and remix the audio visual content using Live and Modul8. We also play analog synths to get the party going." The name of the track? "Pic Vert Attack"
[ Castellano ] Esta es una muy buena pieza creada por a Sati, me gusta el simple recurso del inicio del video, solo unas pocas lineas bien sincronizadas con la pista de audio puede llegar muy lejos, no es comun ver este tipo de estilo en los boliches (clubs), en gral se ve un monton de informacion en las pantallas, multiples layers (o canales) al mismo tiempo. Cosas simples como estas, siempre me llaman la atencion.
Sati explica: ...(nosotros somos) un conjunto audiovisual compuesto por Erwan Raguenes y yo, Jesse Lucas. Nosotros escribimos la musica juntos y tambien trbajamos las ideas para los visuales (muchas veces mientras componemos la musica). En vivo Sati toca en directo y remixa el contenido utilizando Live y Modul8. Tambien usamos sintes para continuar la fiesta". El nombre de la pista en el video es "Pic Vert Attack"
