 Pour arriver sur le site de Si Satchanalai, l'on peut emprunter la passerelle, le premier temple que l'on voit, Wat Phara Si Rattana Mahathat, Chaliang, est très impressionnant. Il date de la période pré-Sukhotai, dans le style de l'art du Bayon de la période Khmère. Ce temple a été restauré, il faut l'imaginer peint en rouge. Tous les temples sont construits en latérite et recouverts de stuc sculpté. Un temple bouddhiste le jouxte.

To reach the Si Satchanalai site, you can take the footbridge, the first temple we see, Wat Phara Si Rattana Mahathat, Chaliang, is very impressive. A thai potter, Souhat, on the way to Sawankhalok

Sur le chemin de Swankhalok, nous avons rencontré un potier, Souhat, tournant sur son tour. Je ne parle pas thai et il ne parle pas anglais, mais nous nous sommes très bien compris. Je lui ai demandé d'essayer son tour, une simple roue monté sur un axe, entrainé par un moteur de machine à laver. Mais voilà, je tourne dans l'autre sens, pas de problème, le potier a tourné la roue à la main.
La grand-mère était très intéressée par l'opération et madame m'a prêté un tablier, très agréable rencontre, les thai sont si gentils, le sourire thai n'est pas une légende.

On the way to Swankhalok we met a potter, Souhat, throwing on his wheel. I do not speak Thai and he does not speak English, but we understood very well. J'ai acquis deux petits vases dans le style des poteries de Sawankhalok, faits par le potier et une sorte de petit animal, un singe ???
Etait-il fait par le potier ou bien trouvé dans un champ ? Beaucoup de villageois trouvent encore de vieilles poteries dans leurs champs.
Une dame m'a autorisé à photographier des pots alignés sur des étagères dans sa maison, comme dans un petit musée.
