corner view / something difficult

Something difficult ... but not too much... choosing the right color(s)!

Image

Our house door was changed 3 weeks ago. It's time to think about the painting because it's a wooden door with just a coat of white paint protection.

Image

For the interior, I chose a dark gray (before we had a dark khaki). Not easy to find the right color with the old tiles from the house. Maybe I should choose a red lacquered ... too late, I started painting yesterday!

Image

I started to paint the door yesterday, now I must paint the sides and top. I saw that I had left flow of painting, I must sand before the second layer....

Image

Image

Since we bought this house, I have always painted (the outer side) door in red because I like red doors! But it's over because facing the sun, the red becomes pink ...
After thinking a while, I opted for a dark turquoise.
Go to work!

Fast DIY

Image

Image

Image

Two weeks ago, I bought a bag of pompoms only to use two yellow pompoms ... this was to make bee antennas for my daughter's disguise ...
So I decided to make a small garland of colorful pompoms with the rest that I can hang anywhere in the house. I like this kind of DIY: only 10 mn of "hard" work! Perfect for me :)

Have a nice week!

I was tired of the "baby green" of my office, plus there were holes to hide so it was time to do some painting! And now, I just need to hang one or two things and it will be finished.

outdated sewing

" The orange fabric with birds, okay, but the floral fabrics is outdated. This is a grandma cushion! "
This is what my daughter and my husband told me when (very proud of myself) I showed them the cushion that I had just sewing ....
Ok, this cushion will be just mine :(

Happy :)

Look what I got today!
A great leather cover for my "vintage" phone! Last week I participated in a Give away on the Hou là là ça déménage blog, and I won it! It was unexpected for me because impossible to find cover (with the right size) in the stores. You can visit her blog (in french) because this girl makes a lot of amazing stuff, especially sewing.

Merci, miss, il est super joli et pile à la bonne taille ;)

DYE / australian aboriginal mask ... and also a little swedish

Why a so complicated title? Because if you bought the Raskog furniture from Ikea you will recognize (perhaps...) the package. As soon as I saw this package, I thought of a mask. I painted dark purple and I made lots of small circles with a small bamboo. For the moment, it's hung near the Japanese fabrics but I'm not sure it will stay there!

This is the famous Ik*a trolley on wheels...don't throw the packaging ;)

An owl, a raccoon and a flower

This is not the title of a fable but the 3 stamps we carved this afternoon.
My daughter wanted to make an owl and I, a raccoon and a flower (don't ask me why this choice) ...

Found on the street

Right next to my home, a house was sold some time ago.
Since the beginning of the week, secondhand dealers are there to get almost everything in this house. And all that don't interest them, they put in front of the house.
So I took some old stuff...hubby was "very" happy ;)
I think I'll paint some of them.

Happy weekend to you!

Mirroir, mon beau mirroir...

Done!
I am happy with the result even if I always find the fireplace's marble is ugly!

If you want to see the mirror before painting, it's here.

Christmas & DIY

Image

Image

Image

Hi everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (incredible, it's already over...)
and I hope Father Christmas was nice with you too ;)
I enjoy my vacation to do or end lots of stuff. I made some stamps to decorate notebooks I offered to Christmas. I began to paint my mirror. I cooked for the first time in my life pistachio macaroons ... it was far from perfect but the taste was good!
We thought to go near the ocean for the new year but ultimately not  :(

What are you doing for the new year?

Color test

Finally, I test a virtual colors! It's convenient and fast.
And I think I found the right color ............
I will submit it to Mr. Menthe Blanche to know his opinion...which is often different from mine :)

I wish you a nice weekend!

Big bag

Image

Image

After much sweat and effort (don't laugh ...), my big bag is finished! I use it to carry all my riding stuff. I thought the oilcloth would be a good solution to fight against mud and dust :) Voilà !
Sorry for the bad photos, but with gray skie and rain, the house is dark today ...
