It depicts Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and grape growing, known as Dionysus in Greek mythology. The caskhead is preserved at the winery in Asti, California, 85 miles north of San Francisco.

In this vaulted room and in these shining kettles, Original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is still brewed in much the same way as it was when it won the Blue Ribbon at the Columbian Exposition in 1893.
