MADE IN ITALY

ImageSpotted a sweet Cinelli in town today. Oh, and sorry for the long wait. Refurbs has been busy with other things...

SO NICE, SO EXPENSIVE

ImageCinelli stems, like I wrote before, are in extremely high demand for many good reasons. This little fella just went for $270 on Ebay. Whoa.

THE CINELLI LEGACY

ImageThe handsome fellow in the image is Cino Cinelli, Italian champion of cycling and founder of the renowned Cinelli bicycle brand. Ridden by great cyclists like Fausto Coppi (1947) and Ole Ritter (1968), the Cinelli frames, forks and components are known for their superior quality and high-level craftsmanship. Their forged steel stems, for instance, are sought-after items that fetch high prices on the second-hand market. Go here for much more info and old images from the history of Cinelli.

LOVIN' THAT OLD STUFF

ImageCinelli is one of the prime makers of Italian bicycles. And this 1949 logo of theirs is great. Go to Velo-retro for a large collection of vintage catalogues and logo T-shirts.
