Welcome to the best blog you will ever have the pleasure of reading. I hope it finds you happy. If not, I will do my best in the short window within which I have your attention to change that.
What you will find here at Alcohol It A Day, aside from examples of my legendary wit and constant references to whatever obsessive hobby I have at the time of writing, is the reality of one girl’s journey from dependent alcoholic to a sober success. In addition, there are resources and guidance available should you be having the same internal debates that I’ve encountered over the past 18 months. I have a dedicated email address set up if you have any questions, suggestions or fancy a chat of some sort (though I will point out now my parents won’t marry me off for any less than a holiday home in west Wales and a clean Mk3 Focus RS…okay fine, that’s the bribe I might consider.)
The Blog section of this site will contain the majority of the content that I share on a regular basis; the main thread of content I’m writing which initially started life as a book( so is fairly meaty!), and slight deviations to highlight both personal and common aspects of sobriety and the journey. The Contact and Support page has a dedicated email address to reach me along with links to external resources if you’re in need of more support. I will be dishing out zero judgement here so please don’t be afraid to reach out. I’m by no means a professional but I can relate so, if you think it might help to share the load, throw some of it my way – you don’t have to be alone in it.

As important as I feel the content of this website is to share, it will be by no means easy for me to bear all. The relationship I had with alcohol was shameful and dangerously easy to keep up.
The badge of honour I paraded around, boasting about the ridiculous rate of alcohol intake I could maintain, will be smelted down. I’m forging a new existence that feels every bit as dramatic and vibrant as the tone of this site will imply.
I would be very humbled to have you join me as I make attempts to slot these new life pieces into place. It will only get more conceited herein, so revel in this one paragraph that mentions humility and don’t complain when my vanity slaps you in the face. You were warned.
