๐Ÿšจ๐ŸšจWe finally managed to push out our multifactorial & individualized hamstring risk reduction intervention in professional soccer. @PascalEdouard42 @jb_morin @zentrumsport et al Here is a ๐Ÿงต of the results and some interpretation (some extra figures also).

I like this Copenhagen exercise modification for two reasons; 1. This version allows for progression also via increased resistance instead of only reps, 2. Some athletes complain of discomfort at medial knee in the straight leg version. Opinions? Thoughts?

Q for S&Cโ€™s; im experimenting with non-continous sled pushes (full stop after each push) for improving maximal strength in the early phase of accel. I intially like this as its easy to include the ankle and is a true uni exercise. Thoughts ? Just squat and sprint instead?

๐Ÿ’ฅOur new study "Individual Sprint Force-Velocity Profile Adaptations to In-Season Assisted and Resisted Velocity-Based Training in Professional Rugby" is now available: mdpi.com/2075-4663/8/5/โ€ฆ Stilk A LOT to learn about both modalities, but was fun as hell. Thx to all involved!

Avoiding lateral trunk flexion in COD is generally sought after, playing around with some dynamic movements this morning. These two gave a good initial feeling in lateral trunk + glute med (lateral pallof mod). Side jump provides momentum. Opinions? I liked the first one more.

Cal Dietz calls this exercise the Yuri and been playing around with it today. This is still not including details about foot and hand placement, but was fun and could be a nice frequency exercise for improving hip drive (ie how many reps can you do in 5 secs). Thoughts?

Hamstring thoughts. Based on recent evidence semimembranosus (SM) is more involved in acceleration while semitendinosus (ST) is more involved in maximal velocity (Takahashi et a 2024). Hip extension exercises tend to bias more SM utilization and at the knee ST is king (Bourne
