What Trauma-Informed Means.

Trauma lives in the body. It shapes how we breathe, how we hold ourselves, and how safe we feel moving through the world even when the mind can’t explain why.

Trauma-informed breathwork meets you in that place with gentleness, respect, and deep attunement to your nervous system.

This work isn’t about fixing or forcing anything.

It’s about creating a space where your body can begin to feel safe enough to feel, to release, and to remember its natural state of wholeness.

In this space:

  • You are never asked to relive trauma in order to heal.
  • We move at the pace of your body, not external expectations.
  • Consent, choice, and boundaries are honored throughout your “no” is sacred.
  • Your breath becomes a guide, allowing the body to release only what it is ready to let go of.

This work is not about doing more.

It’s about listening more deeply to your body, to your breath, and to the subtle shifts happening within.

You are your own sovereign being.

This space simply offers grounded, compassionate support so your body can feel what it needs to feel and release what it no longer needs to carry.

FAQs

Wondering what a breathwork journey feels like or if it’s right for you? Here are answers to some of the most common questions to help you feel prepared and supported.

Trauma-informed breathwork is a guided breathing practice that helps activate the body’s natural healing response. Through intentional breathing patterns, the nervous system begins to release stored tension, emotions, and stagnant energy, creating space for clarity, emotional release, and a deeper connection to yourself.

Every journey is unique. Some people experience emotional release, deep relaxation, physical sensations, or moments of insight. Others simply feel calmer and more grounded. Your body leads the process, and everything unfolds at your own pace.

Breathwork can be a powerful tool for healing and transformation, and it’s important to make sure your body and nervous system are ready for this experience. This session is best suited for adults who desire to explore deeper nervous system healing.

This type of breathwork is NOT suitable for:

  • Children or the elderly
  • Anyone who has recently undergone surgery or is in post-surgical recovery
  • Those who are pregnant (at any stage)
  • Individuals currently experiencing severe PTSD (a conversation is recommended to ensure this is the right time for you)

Strong emotions can sometimes arise during breathwork as the body begins to release what it’s been holding. This might look like crying, anger, laughter, or waves of emotion and it’s completely natural. Many people have never had a space where they felt safe enough to fully express what’s been stored inside.

You remain in control of your breath and your experience at all times. My role is to hold a grounded, trauma-informed space and guide you with tools for regulation, grounding, and integration if emotions begin to feel intense. Nothing is forced, and your body always sets the pace. What may feel like “losing it” is often simply your body finally feeling safe enough to let something move through.

No experience is necessary. I guide you through the entire process and create a safe and supportive space for both beginners and those familiar with breathwork practices.

If you’re feeling called to release emotional weight, reconnect with your body, or explore deeper layers of healing and self-awareness, breathwork can be a powerful place to begin.
