3 Jayne Nestorenko Workshop Cards

I was luck enough to go to one of Jayne Nestorenko's workshops this weekend in Rugby. I had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Here is the three projects we produced. I am sorry although I loaded them in the correct order they seem to have appeared at random.



This is the second card we made. The medallion has four layers to it. The layers have been coloured in with Cosmic Shimmer Micra powders.

One of the matting layers has been misted and sprayed also with the micra powders.

This was our last project of the day. It was made using the Summer Stories CD ROM from Cute Companions. You can't see from the picture but the project is decoupaged inside. I found it very hard to get the doors to meet on the patio doors as the measurements get altered if you decoupage it inside and also of course it also depends on the thickness of pads you use to decoupage with.

This is the first card of the day using the Summer Stories CD ROM and stamps from Cute Companions. The picture doesn't show it very well as the stamped images are decoupaged.

Thank you so much for looking and if you ever get the chance to go on one of Jaynes workshops do so as she is a lovely friendly lady and makes you feel at ease and I am really looking forward to my next one in July.

Kitten in Washing

This is my first attempt at making a card using Digi Stamps. This one has been made using this super image from Crafty Ann's website, this can be found via :-

and clicking on the Digi Stamp heading. I have used white hammered card as the main card - Blue Stardream card from Joanna Sheen that has been put through the Cuttlebug with Bird & Swirls A2 embossing folder 37-1609 - 6 x 6 Scrapbook Designer paper from K & Company by Elizabeth Brownd - Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles Large Nestabilities S4 115 and Spellbinders Standard Circles Large Nestabilities S4 114. The image has been watercoloured with Twinkling H20's. Heart gems have been added to each corner.

Thank you all for looking and I hope you have a good weekend. I will be setting off in two hours time to go to Rugby for a workshop I am doing tomorrow with Jayne Nestorenko. It is the first one I have ever done so I am getting both excited and nervous at the same time. Wish me luck.

Medallion Card

Most of this card was made at one of my craft clubs. This club is held on the second Tuesday of the month and also on the occasional Saturday. I say most of the card was made at the club because the glue wasn't dry so I had not stuck the medallion on to the main card. I went home holding it in my hands carefully while my friend Viv drove. I got out of the car and the wind blew and I dropped it in to the grit on the road. It is a good job that I had stamped two sets of the medallion at the time. I have used black card as the main card - pale pink card band has been put through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The medallion has been stamped on to pale pink and fuschia pink card, highlighted with a quickie glue pen and glitter sprinkled over.

2 Flower Fairies Friends

These two cards have been made by using the Flower Fairies Friends Stamps from Crafters Companion. They have been watercoloured using Twinkling H20's. The backing paper has been printed using the Flower Fairies Friends CDROM also from Crafters Companion. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and the Spellbinders Label One Nestabilities and put through my Cuttlebug. The Rose fairy 50th card is for my friends birthday and the Lavender fairy is for a young girl who goes to my disabled swimming club.

Yacht, Clipper & Galleon

I am afraid this card hasn't come out very well in the photo. It is a little better in real life. The set of stamps are a clear stamp range from Butterfly Kisses. It is a very nice set of stamps but I think I will try and stamp it using another technique next time. This time I have stamped it on black card using a clear ink pad and used the Cosmic Shimmer Midnight Blue Dark Dusks Micra Pigments over the top. The black stamped card has been mounted on to red glitter card, the main card is the same colour blue as the Micra Pigment.

Scattering Love

Once again folks I have made a card with a Sugar Nellie stamp!!! This one is called

"Scattering Love" I have used the Twinkling H20's to watercolour the image. The backing papers are from K & Company and are from the 6 x 6 Isabella pad, code 624047.
