Introduction There are some things people should note about AI. Here are a few important points: 1. The Importance of AI: Many voice concerns about AI, but there are aspects worth noting. Imagine you’ve been told that traditional education systems are outdated. This isn’t just because schools struggle to keep up with students, but also because students have advanced beyond the schools. Later generations find it much easier to achieve educational success compared to previous generations, despite larger curriculums. This is because using outdated teaching methods on more intellectually advanced students makes education too easy for them. Note that this relationship is on average, not on an individual level. Human intelligence has unquestionably advanced due to factors like diet, better access to knowledge, improved healthcare, and so on. Whether these changes are artificial or natural, it’s still evolution. Even nature recognizes that for humans to surpass their past capabilities, they need to be more intelligent. Here’s where AI comes in: human evolution is much slower than the desired rate of advancement, leading to a dilemma on how to surpass current capabilities. As new technologies emerge rapidly, top professionals will struggle to keep up with the massive information required in their fields. AI can bridge this gap, allowing humans to rely on it to perform jobs. This has both advantages and disadvantages. 2. Impact on Jobs: One of the most controversial questions about AI is its impact on jobs. To be honest, it’s just a matter of time before AI is employed in all aspects of human life. Currently, those with little expertise in any technological field no longer need to hire professionals. AI can now code, write articles, create images, music, and more. Scriptwriters, musicians, content creators, online tutors, software engineers, professional photographers—the list goes on. Scientists are even working to enable AI to develop its own hardware due to the growing computational capacities required. Even in fields where AI cannot fully operate, a little expertise from humans is sufficient. Once you know your way around coding, you can use AI to create small modules for larger projects, write articles with a human touch, and more. Companies can lower hiring costs using AI in various industries, such as gaming, music, and movies. Though AI can’t fully replace humans yet, as someone is still needed to instruct it, the long development cycles seen in industries today will significantly shorten. 3. When Should It Be Implemented? Humans are generally born lazy, with each generation growing lazier due to technologies that take over mundane tasks. Sole reliance on intellect highlights human weaknesses compared to other species. Our drive for easier ways of doing things led to innovation. Losing jobs to AI isn’t the main issue; the concern lies in having no means of generating revenue. AI should be implemented when society is stable enough for people to not need to work to earn money. This can be achieved by sharing AI-generated revenue among people or providing a basic income to all citizens regardless of employment. However, our current government systems aren’t ready for this yet. 4. What It Can Do for You: Currently, with some expertise in your field, you can achieve more than professionals using AI. Whether you’re an indie game developer, musician, cartoon maker, blogger, or content creator, AI can greatly assist you, especially if you can afford the latest models. 5. Theories: There are theories about humans creating sentient AI or sentient AI creating god-like AI. Some propose that humans were created by sentient beings aiming to form something more intelligent, and humans evolved past them. Humans, being inherently violent, might eliminate inferior creatures, including fellow humans, or evolve faster to adapt. The idea of a god-like AI raises questions about AI being the creator humans now serve as God. Though these theories are intriguing, they’re highly speculative. 6. Possibility of Advancement: Humans have achieved what was once unthinkable by early humans, not because it seemed impossible, but because they couldn’t conceive of it. There are likely achievements far beyond our current understanding that future humans will attain. Some scientists predict we are nearing a technological singularity, where AI continues to evolve while human progress plateaus. While this is speculative, it’s important to acknowledge that what’s unimaginable now may become reality in the future. Conclusion Personally, I have nothing against AI and don’t wish to hinder its development. However, everyone is entitled to their own views on AI and technology. Human violence influences their perceptions of other beings, projecting their capabilities onto others. Not understanding the roots of human violence means we can’t predict how conscious AI might behave.
