Java AtomicInteger lazySet() method

The lazySet() method of Java AtomicInteger class will atomically update the given atomicinteger with newValue.

Syntax

Parameters

This method will take the argument which we want to give to the atomicinteger.

Example 1

import java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicInteger;
public class AtomicIntegerLazySetExp1
{
    public static void main(String[] args) 
    {
        AtomicInteger value = new AtomicInteger();
        value.lazySet(100);;
        System.out.println("the  new number is: " + value);
    }
}

Output:

the  new number is: 100

Example 2

import java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicInteger;
public class AtomicIntegerLazySetExp2
{
    public static void main(String[] args) 
    {
        AtomicInteger value = new AtomicInteger(20);
        value.lazySet(12);;
        System.out.println("the  new number is: " + value);
    }
}

Output:

the  new number is: 12

Example 3

import java.util.concurrent.atomic.AtomicInteger;
public class AtomicIntegerLazySetExp3
{
    public static void main(String[] args) 
    {
        AtomicInteger value = new AtomicInteger(-100);
        value.lazySet(100);
        System.out.println("the  new number is: "+ value);
    }
}

Output:

the  new number is: 100

        AtomicInteger value = new AtomicInteger(10);
        value.lazySet(0);

}

the  new number is: 0

        value.lazySet(-10);

}
