The company workflow

Six things a company has to do. Thirteen tools that do them.

Every product exists because one of these six stages was being done by hand, badly, at eleven at night. Pick a stage to see which tools cover it.

What am I actually making?

You describe the thing you want to exist. 1FounderTool turns that into a plan you can argue with, and 1AIVault keeps the reasoning so you are not re-deciding it in three weeks.

  • 1FounderToolBuilding

Describe the product. Get a plan, then a working build.

Where to start

Two ways in, depending on who is doing the building.

1FounderTool and 1DevTool run the same engine. The difference is whether you want the controls or the outcome — so pick the sentence that sounds like you.

“I build software”

You already run coding agents. You need somewhere for them to work that survives being closed.

Start with1DevToolAvailable
  • Coding agents from Claude, Codex, Gemini or a local model
  • Projects, terminals, Git, browser, API client and database in one window
  • Risky work runs in a 1VMTool snapshot, not on your laptop
  • Context persists in 1AIVault instead of dying with the session

“I have an idea”

You do not want to learn terminals, repositories, deployments or agent routing. You want the product to exist.

Start with1FounderToolBuilding
  • Describe the product in plain language
  • Get a plan you can argue with before anything is built
  • Guided agents do the work; you review a preview
  • Publish without touching developer infrastructure

The shared foundation

Focused alone. More powerful together.

Every product owns one discipline and refuses the rest. Four capabilities run underneath all of them, which is how they cooperate without any of them turning into a suite.

  • Memory

    Owned by 1AIVault

Decisions, preferences and company knowledge, stored once and readable by every other app through MCP.

    Read by1DevTool, 1FounderTool, 1FileTool, 1MarketingTool, 1AudioTool
  • Execution

    Owned by 1VMTool

A disposable machine to run something risky in. Agents get a sandbox; you get a snapshot to roll back to.

    Read by1DevTool, 1FounderTool, 1VideoTool
  • Voice

    Owned by 1AudioTool · Building

Dictation in, transcription and spoken summaries out — so a long day of work can be handled without a keyboard.

    Read by1ShowcaseTool, 1VideoTool
  • Agents

    Owned by 1DevTool

Routing, approval and session state for every coding agent you run, so a task survives being closed and reopened.

    Read by1FounderTool, Server Compass

A product only reaches for a layer when it needs one. 1FileTool does not need agents to compress a PDF, and it does not load them.

The thirteen

Focused tools. Shared intelligence.

Each product owns one discipline completely and then stops. Seven are shipping today, two are open for a waitlist, and three are being built right now — the labels say which is which.

Build and think

Turn an idea into a shipped product, and keep what you learned along the way.

1DevTool

Available
The 1DevTool workspace: a project file tree, an editor, terminals and an agent panel side by side in one window.

1DesignTool

Building
The 1DesignTool site: a local design studio where your coding agent builds a WebGL scene as real files, with live tweaks beside the preview.

Describe the design. Your agent makes it as real files.

A local design studio driven by the coding CLIs already on your machine. Describe a deck, an app screen, a 3D scene or a brand kit, then steer it with comment pins on a live preview. Every project is a folder of HTML, CSS and assets that opens in any browser.

1AudioTool

Building
The 1AudioTool site: dictation that learns the words only you say, with Whisper and the model both running on your own machine.

Talk to your work instead of typing at it.

Dictation, transcription and spoken digests, running on-device. It biases Whisper with your own dictionary and your project’s identifiers, then measures whether accuracy actually improved. The shared voice layer the rest of the system reads and writes through.

1VideoTool

Building
The 1VideoTool site: a local-first AI video production studio that goes from script to shots to final cut.

Take a script to shots to a finished cut.

Break a script into acts, scenes and directed shots, keep the cast and locations consistent across them, generate through your own provider keys, and finish on a real timeline. The production is a folder of readable files on your disk.

Server Compass

Available
Server Compass managing four servers, with the domain, port, proxy status and project folder of every app deployed on one of them.

Take a server from empty to serving, then keep it that way.

Provisioning, SSH hardening, deployments, live logs, cron and rollback from a desktop app. Your keys stay on your laptop — there is no console to log into.

1VMTool showing a virtual machine alongside its snapshots, with a safe point ready to restore.

Give a risky job a machine you can throw away.

What this replaces

Buying several at once costs less again — StoicSoft Complete is $89 for five apps rather than $145. See the bundles.

Comparison prices are representative entry tiers for well-known tools in each category and will not match your invoice. StoicSoft licenses do not include AI-provider usage, hosting, domains or any other third-party service — you keep paying those, or run local models instead.

One request, five products

What “working together” actually means.

Ask for something that crosses four disciplines and watch which tool picks up each part. Nothing is uploaded between them — they hand off through the shared layers on your own machine.

Review yesterday’s customer feedback, remember the complaints that keep coming back, update the product plan, draft the response, and read me the summary.

How buying works

Buy the tool. Keep the tool.

The whole model fits in six sentences, so here are all six rather than a link to a terms page.

The licensed version works indefinitely
If you stop paying attention to us entirely, the version you bought keeps opening. There is no server that can switch it off and no login that can expire.
Twelve months of updates are included
Every paid app ships updates for a year from purchase. Renewing extends that window; not renewing costs you nothing and takes nothing away.
Major upgrades are optional
When a product changes enough to warrant a new major version, it is a separate purchase you can decline. Nobody is migrated against their will.
AI costs are yours and stay separate
You bring a Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or Kimi key, or point the apps at a local model. We never resell tokens, so we never mark them up.
Hosting and domains are yours too
Server Compass manages servers you rent from Hetzner, DigitalOcean or anyone else. That bill is between you and them.
Devices are counted, not seats
A licence covers 1, 3 or 5 machines. Adding devices later costs the difference rather than a fresh licence.

Why thirteen

Every product started as a job I was already doing badly by hand.

None of this began as a portfolio strategy. It began with a one-person company that kept hitting the same wall: the tools that would have helped were rented, cloud-bound, and priced for a team that did not exist.

Server Compass came first, because deploying to a VPS by hand at midnight stopped being funny. 1FileTool came from refusing to upload client documents to a website in order to merge two PDFs. 1DevTool came from running four coding agents in four terminals and losing all of their context every time the laptop slept. 1AIVault came from explaining the same architectural decision to a fresh model for the fourth time in a month.

The pattern held: build the thing you are already doing by hand, ship it, then use it hard enough to find out where it is wrong. Everything on this site is written, deployed, marketed and supported using the products on this site. When one of them is annoying, I am the first person it annoys.

Not all of it worked. Write.Rocks was a genuinely good blogging platform in a market that already had ten good blogging platforms, and it taught the rule the rest of the catalogue follows. Three more — 1SessionTool, 1AgentBox and 1AIControl — were shipped as separate products before it became obvious they were features. They now live inside 1DevTool and 1VMTool, where they should have started.

Thirteen is not a target. It is the number of distinct jobs a one-person software company turned out to have.

One person can build a company.Their software should help them run it.

Free tiers on most apps. Seven-day refund on every paid one. No account needed to try anything.
