What will it tell me?
What you're paying, what each charge is for, and why the total is what it is, in plain English. If you have solar, it also digs out the year-long tab your monthly bill hides and the credit sitting next to it.
Is it free?
Yes. Reading a bill is free, with no account and no card. Saving your readings is free too.
Which bills does it read?
Southern California Edison home bills, with or without solar, read instantly from the PDF. Any other utility, you can still drop it in. We'll read it ourselves, email you what it says, and teach the app your utility's format for next time. And if we can't read yours yet, we say so plainly.
Where do the numbers come from?
Straight off your bill. Every number is either printed on the page or is simple math, like two printed lines added together. So you can check everything against the bill in front of you. And when we can't read a line, we tell you. We'd rather say "not yet" than guess.
What's a true-up?
With solar on SCE, your energy charges and solar credits roll into one running tab instead of being billed monthly. Once a year that tab settles in a single bill, the true-up. It's the one bill that can genuinely surprise you, and it's the number this page digs out.
Do I need an account?
No. The reading never sits behind a sign-up. An account is only offered after, if you want to keep what you read.
How do I sign in?
We email you a link. There's no password to choose, forget or reset.
What happens to my bill after you read it?
If you save it to an account, we keep it so you can come back to it. If you don't, it's deleted within the hour. Details are in the privacy policy.
