Terms of Service

These terms govern creator accounts, optional customer access, Stack Pages, payments, leads, email, appointments, Discover and related Selstack services.

01

Parties and Selstack’s role

  • Selstack provides software and payment-facilitation tools that let independent creators publish links, accept payments, capture contact details, send authorised emails, manage appointments and organise those actions on a public Stack Page.
  • The creator named on a Stack is the seller, service provider, fundraiser or recipient of the payment. The customer contracts with that creator for the relevant offer. Selstack is not the seller, buyer, manufacturer, employer, charity, investment adviser or guarantor of any offer.
  • Except for the limited payment-facilitation and platform services expressly described in these terms, Selstack is not a party to the transaction between a creator and customer and does not act as either party’s agent, trustee, fiduciary or escrow provider.
  • A verified badge, Discover placement, analytics result or other platform signal is not an endorsement, warranty, identity guarantee or promise that an offer will be delivered or achieve any result.

02

Accounts and access

  • Creator accounts create and manage Stacks, payments, leads, messages and payouts.
  • A customer can pay, submit details or book without registering.
  • Optional passwordless customer access is tied to a verified email address and shows related receipts, downloads, appointments and subscriptions.
  • You must keep account and recovery access secure and promptly report suspected compromise.

03

Creator responsibilities

  • Creators are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, safety, quality, pricing, advertising, fulfilment, delivery and support of their offers, and for all promises, warranties, refunds and returns made to customers.
  • Creators must obtain every licence, registration, permission and consent required for their activity and must comply with consumer, tax, privacy, marketing, sanctions, card-network and industry rules in every applicable country.
  • Creators are responsible for calculating, collecting, reporting and paying their taxes. Selstack does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment or regulatory advice.
  • Creators must review unusual or potentially fraudulent payments before fulfilment, preserve delivery evidence, respond promptly to disputes and keep payout and identity information accurate.

04

Payments, fees and currencies

  • For direct NGN sales, the Selstack rate is 7.5% + ₦150 on Free and 6.5% + ₦150 on Pro. Eligible local and international cards and the available bank, transfer and USSD methods may be offered.
  • For direct USD, GBP, EUR and other supported foreign-currency sales, the rate is 8% + $0.50/£0.50/€0.50 (or the configured equivalent) on Free and 7% plus that fixed amount on Pro.
  • Currency conversion on a direct sale adds 1.5% only when required. A verified Discover-generated sale instead uses 10% total plus the applicable fixed amount on both plans; conversion is included in that percentage and is not added again.
  • For currency conversion, Selstack uses no more than the lower of its current executable treasury rate and a fresh reference rate, followed by 5% FX protection. The checkout or order record shows the customer currency, merchant remittance and applicable fees.
  • Selstack may facilitate payments through providers such as Paystack or Stripe. Standard withdrawals are free; any required conversion or international-transfer charge must be shown before confirmation. Authorisation, settlement, conversion, refunds and disputes remain subject to provider, bank and card-network rules.

05

Balances, holds and withdrawals

  • Dashboard balances are operational ledger records, not bank deposits, savings accounts, electronic-money accounts, escrow balances or investments. They do not earn interest and are not represented as protected by any deposit-insurance scheme.
  • Paid funds first enter a ledger balance during the security hold. NGN payments are normally held for 24 hours; USD, GBP and EUR payments are normally held for 96 hours. Cleared funds move to available balance. Minimum withdrawals are ₦1,000, $5, £5 and €5.
  • A displayed balance is subject to provider confirmation, refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, compliance checks and correction of errors. It is not an unconditional promise of payout.
  • Selstack may delay, cancel, reverse or refuse a payout, extend a hold, require a reserve or request information where reasonably needed for fraud, legal, sanctions, provider, negative-balance or customer-protection purposes.
  • Creators must provide correct payout details. Selstack is not responsible for delay or loss caused by inaccurate instructions, a creator’s bank, a payment provider, currency markets or another event outside Selstack’s reasonable control.

06

Refunds, disputes and recovery

  • Creators may issue full or partial refunds through their dashboard. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, Selstack transaction, Discover and conversion fees are not refunded because the platform and processing service has already been supplied.
  • The creator bears the full amount of refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, fraud claims, provider penalties and reasonable recovery costs arising from the creator’s transactions or breach.
  • Selstack may deduct those amounts from held funds, available balance, future payments or payouts; record an account liability; require immediate repayment; block withdrawals; or use another lawful recovery method.
  • Disputes may arise after payout, account closure or termination. These payment and recovery obligations survive suspension, closure and termination.
  • Banks, payment providers and card networks control many dispute outcomes. Selstack may submit available evidence or facilitate communication but cannot guarantee a decision and is not obliged to fund a creator’s refund or dispute liability.

07

Plans and renewal

Free features remain available without a subscription. Pro renews monthly or yearly until cancelled. After a failed renewal, Selstack may retry payment during a three-day grace period. If renewal remains unsuccessful, the workspace returns to Free entitlements; its data is not automatically deleted. Except where law requires otherwise, subscription and email-unit charges already supplied or allocated are non-refundable.

08

Acceptable use, suspension and termination

  • The Prohibited Use Policy forms part of these terms. Creators must have the necessary rights, licences and customer consent for everything they publish, collect or send.
  • Selstack may restrict links, payments, withdrawals, messaging, content or accounts to protect customers, comply with law or provider requirements, investigate abuse, manage liabilities or prevent platform harm.
  • Selstack may preserve transaction and compliance records after closure and may continue recovering amounts connected with transactions processed before closure.
  • Where legally and operationally possible, Selstack will explain an enforcement action and provide a support route.

09

Service disclaimers

Selstack is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep it available and secure, but do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or loss-free operation; a particular sales, audience or income result; the identity or conduct of a user; the legality or quality of an offer; or the success, timing, exchange rate or availability of any payment, payout, email, calendar, storage, network or third-party integration. Users must keep their own copies of important content, records and evidence.

10

Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selstack is not liable for an independent creator’s goods, services, fundraising, statements, omissions, fulfilment, refunds or customer relationship, or for loss caused by a bank, payment provider, card network, communications provider, integration or event outside Selstack’s reasonable control.
  • Selstack is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data or anticipated savings; business interruption; or the cost of substitute services.
  • Where Selstack is legally liable despite these exclusions, Selstack’s total aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of £100 and the Selstack platform fees actually paid by the claimant during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing removes mandatory consumer rights.

11

Creator indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a creator will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Selstack, its affiliates, officers, employees and service providers from third-party claims, losses, refunds, chargebacks, fines, penalties and reasonable legal or recovery costs arising from the creator’s offer, content, customer relationship, tax or regulatory obligations, infringement of rights, misuse of customer data, breach of these terms, or violation of law or payment-provider rules. Selstack will give reasonable notice of a covered claim where legally permitted.

12

General terms

  • If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply and the affected provision will operate to the maximum lawful extent.
  • A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. Rights relating to fees, liabilities, records, disputes, indemnities and limitations survive account closure.
  • Selstack may use providers and subcontractors to supply the service and may transfer these terms as part of a restructuring, financing or sale of the service, subject to applicable law.
  • Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment, franchise, fiduciary or joint-venture relationship between Selstack and a user.
