Create Your Own Website Directly in Workshop Software

Workshop Web is an amazing new feature that allows you to create your very own professional website directly within the application. Your website is seamlessly linked to your Booking Diary, making it easier than ever for customers to book with your workshop online.

To set up Workshop Web, go to CRM Tools and then select Workshop Web.

Next, select your Workshop Type. This step is very important to complete correctly, as it helps improve your search engine optimisation (SEO) and ensures your workshop appears in relevant search results.

Once you have selected the correct Workshop Type, select Activate.

After activating, a pop-up window will appear. Simply select Activate again to confirm and complete the setup process.

Website Generation Process

Once activation has been completed, the system will begin building your website automatically. The platform will search for information about your workshop across different online platforms and use the information it finds to generate content for your website.

This includes:

  • Business name
  • Tagline and short business description
  • About/Story section
  • Phone number and email address
  • Logo and cover image
  • Workshop information and business details
  • Colours and branding where available
  • Images and online content
  • Business descriptions and services
  • Contact details and location information

Please note that you can upload and use any image you would like for your logo.

All information is generated based on the content discovered online. The system uses this information to create a professional and modern website tailored to your workshop.

If you are happy with what has been created, you can select View Page to see what the system has generated for your website.

Online Booking Integration

From the webpage, customers can book a service by selecting Book a Service. The booking information is pulled directly from Workshop Software, ensuring your online booking system stays connected and up to date with your workshop diary.

About / Story Section

The About / Story section is recommended to be focused on your workshop and your business journey. There is plenty of room for this section to be as detailed as you would like.

The more information you enter into this section, the more you can optimise your website for search engines, helping customers find your workshop more easily when searching online.

You may include information such as:

  • Your workshop history
  • Services you specialise in
  • Experience and qualifications
  • Customer service values
  • Team information
  • Brands or vehicle types you work with
  • Why customers should choose your workshop

Location Setup

Select the Location tab. Your business street address will already be populated from the original search completed during setup.

You can also connect your Google My Business profile by using the Find Your Business Google field. Start entering your business address, then select your business when it appears in the list.

Once selected, save the location settings.

After saving, customers will be able to select the Contact tab on your website to view your Google My Business information. Your business reviews will also appear on the home page of your website.

Please ensure you update the website link in your Google Business Profile. This ensures that when customers select the Website button on Google, they are taken directly to your new Workshop Web website.

Trading Hours Setup

Select the Trading Hours tab. By default, the fields will display standard business hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You can update these times to match your workshop trading hours by selecting the clock icon. This will open a drop-down menu where you can choose your business opening and closing times.

For any days your workshop is closed, simply tick the Closed box.

Once you have updated your trading hours, select Save Changes. These trading hours will then appear on your website under the About tab and the Contact Us tab.

Services Setup

Select the Services tab. The website will automatically create a number of services for you based on the original search completed during setup.

You can:

  • Remove services
  • Change service names
  • Edit existing services
  • Add additional services

If you select the Icon Arrow, you will be able to choose an icon for that service. The selected icon will then appear on your website under the Services section.

Adding a Service

To add a new service, scroll to the bottom of the page and select + Add Service.

Deleting a Service

To delete a service, select the Red Cross on the service heading.

Appearance Settings

The Appearance tab allows you to customise the look and feel of your website. You can select different colours, fonts, and layouts to suit your brand.

There is also an option to enable Dark Mode.

For advanced customisation, a web developer can apply Custom CSS to further tailor the design of your website.

Trust and Social Proof

The Trust and Social Proof tab is designed to help strengthen your business’s credibility and build confidence with potential customers. Within this section, you can showcase a range of trust-building elements that highlight your reputation and industry standing.

This includes adding:

  • Automotive group memberships
  • Awards and achievements
  • Accreditations and certifications
  • Industry recognitions and partnerships

Displaying these badges on your website helps reassure visitors that they are dealing with a reputable and professional business. Trust signals play an important role in influencing customer decisions, especially when they are comparing service providers online.

Your customers will be able to view these trust badges in the Home section of your website under the Why Choose Us area, helping reinforce your expertise and reliability from the moment they visit your site.

FAQs Tab

The FAQs tab allows you to add frequently asked questions and answers. This is important for both customer experience and search engine optimisation.

To add an FAQ, scroll to the bottom and select + Add FAQ.

You can modify, add, or remove FAQs at any time.

These FAQs will appear on your website under the Home tab.

QR Code Tab

The QR Code tab allows you to download your website QR code in either PNG or SVG format.

This can be used on:

  • Business cards
  • Documentation
  • Marketing materials

When a customer scans the QR code, they will be taken directly to your website.

Booking Settings

The Booking Settings tab controls how customers interact with your online booking system.

You can:

  • Enable or disable online booking
  • Show service hours in the booking widget

  • Add confirmation messages
  • Set cancellation policies

These settings allow full control over how bookings are displayed and managed on your website.

Page Visibility

The Page Visibility tab allows you to choose which sections of your website are visible.

If a section is unticked, it will not appear on your website.

This includes:

  • Trusted badges
  • Client portal login
  • Other visible page sections

If you use the Client Portal, customers will be able to log in directly from your website. If you do not use this feature, you can disable it by unticking the option.

You can also customise the CTA (Call to Action) button text, such as “Booking Request” or any wording that suits your business.

SEO Settings

The SEO tab allows you to set your:

  • Page title
  • Meta description

If information was found during setup, it will be pre-populated. You can edit or update it at any time to improve search visibility.

Custom Domain

The Custom Domain tab allows you to connect your own website domain if you have one.

You can configure your DNS settings here. This step is optional and not required to use Workshop Web.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long does it take for my website to be created?

Once Workshop Web has been activated, the system will begin generating your website automatically. In most cases, this process only takes a few minutes, depending on the amount of online information available about your business.

Can I edit the website after it has been generated?

Yes. All website content can be edited at any time, including your business information, services, images, colours, FAQs, trading hours, and SEO settings.

Can I upload my own logo and images?

Absolutely. You can upload your own logo, cover image, and additional website images at any time to better match your branding.

What happens if the system finds incorrect information online?

You can manually update or replace any generated information within the website editor after setup has been completed.

Are Google Reviews displayed on the website?

Yes. Once your Google Business Profile is connected, your Google reviews can appear directly on your website home page.
