- It’s just 72 days until @AlabamaMBB tips off its season on Nov. 3 and today we remember the 1972 team that set the foundation for head coach C.M. Newton and the elite run in the 70s. Alabama finished 18-8 overall, 13-5 SEC, its best record since “The Rocket Eight” in 1956.Only 70 days until the 2026-27 college basketball season officially begins…..#countdown
- Since it’s 73 days until @AlabamaMBB tips off the season on Nov. 3, today we spotlight the 1973 Crimson Tide that finished 22-8 overall, 13-5 SEC and earned an NIT berth.
