Next week is our last legislative week of the year and our last chance to preserve access to life-saving care for our constituents. It's time for Republicans to join Democrats to extend the ACA tax credits and save health care access for millions of Americans.

The majority of people being held at the Stewart Detention Center are not threats to society. I met with a detained North Carolina resident who didn't even have a criminal record.   Your tax dollars should not be funding this cruelty.

Deaths from underride crashes are preventable tragedies.  My legislation, the Stop Underrides Act 2.0, would require side underride guards on new trucks to protect innocent lives. I will keep fighting for it to become law.
