Branch: CURRENT, Version: 14.5.0, Package name: ansible-14.5.0, Maintainer: pkgsrc-users

Ansible is a radically simple model-driven configuration management,
multi-node deployment, and remote task execution system. Ansible works
over SSH and does not require any software or daemons to be installed
on remote nodes. Extension modules can be written in any language and
are transferred to managed machines automatically.

ansible: updated to 14.5.0

14.5.0

Minor Changes

ansible.netcommon

- network_cli - Add transcript recording support to capture command/response \
pairs exchanged over SSH sessions. Enable via ``ANSIBLE_NETWORK_CLI_RECORD=1`` \
environment variable. Recordings are written as JSONL files to \
``/tmp/transcript-recordings/`` (configurable via \
``ANSIBLE_NETWORK_CLI_RECORD_PATH``). Useful for generating offline test \
fixtures for CISSHGO-based integration testing.

cisco.ios

- ios_snmp_server - add ``traps.vrrpv3`` bool parameter to configure \
``snmp-server enable traps vrrpv3``.

cloudscale_ch.cloud

- Add update support for routers.

community.aws

- s3_cors - Added support for check_mode operation \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.aws/pull/2471).

community.clickhouse

- clickhouse_grants - added the ``partial_revokes`` option to support partial \
revokes. Requires ClickHouse 25.8 or later \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.clickhouse/issues/161).
- clickhouse_grants - the ``privileges`` option is no longer required when \
``state=present`` and the ``partial_revokes`` option is set. It stays required \
when ``exclusive=true`` \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.clickhouse/issues/161).
- clickhouse_quota - lazy loading of exists property only once at module \
execution time. This is to avoid multiple queries to system.quotas table when \
checking for existence of the quota.
- clickhouse_quota - refactor fetching current state of existing quota. Move \
fully to system tables instead of parsing create query.
- settings - convert data size short formats to bytes. It makes system settings, \
user and role module idempotent when passing values like Gi, G etc.

community.crypto

- openssh_keypair - add support for the ``mldsa44`` key type using \
``ssh-keygen``. This is only supported for ``backend=opensshbin`` or \
``backend=auto`` with ``ssh-keygen`` installed \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1081).
- openssl_pkcs12_info - if ``return_private_key=true``, the private key's \
content returned is marked as sensitive on ansible-core 2.22+ \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1076).
- openssl_privatekey - if ``return_content=true``, the private key's \
content returned is marked as sensitive on ansible-core 2.22+ \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1076).
- openssl_privatekey_info - if ``return_private_key_data=true``, the private \
data returned is marked as sensitive on ansible-core 2.22+ \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1076).
- openssl_privatekey_info filter plugin - if ``return_private_key_data=true``, \
the private data returned is marked as sensitive on ansible-core 2.22+ \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1076).
- openssl_privatekey_pipe - if ``return_content=true``, the private key's \
content returned is marked as sensitive on ansible-core 2.22+ \
(https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.crypto/pull/1076).

14.3.1

Bugfixes

- The infinidat.infinibox 1.8.4 release contained in Ansible 14.3.0 contained a \
recursive symlink loop. For unknown reasons, setuptools expanded this loop 41 \
levels deep without returning an error. This caused many copies of the \
collection to appear in the Ansible 14.3.0 release. The Ansible 14.3.1 release \
contains infinidat.infinibox 1.8.5, which is identical to infinidat.infinibox \
1.8.4 except that it does not contain the symlink loop.

Major Changes

ansible.mysql

- MariaDB support is deprecated and is scheduled for removal in version 6.0.0 of \
this collection. If you already use this collection with MariaDB, please install \
the `ansible.mariadb` collection from Ansible Galaxy and change FQCNs in tasks \
in your playbooks to use ansible.mariadb equivalents, for example, \
`ansible.mysql.mysql_info` -> `ansible.mariadb.mariadb_info`, etc. No other \
changes are needed. This collection was cloned to the `ansible.mariadb` \
collection to allow its contributors and maintainers to focus on MariaDB-related \
automation development. This `ansible.mysql` collection still supports MariaDB \
(only bugfixes and security fixes) until its release 6.0.0 (not earlier than mid \
2027), then its support will be dropped!
