## Issue being fixed or feature implemented ## What was done? Feature requested by @QuantumExplorer and @iammadab. This PR introduces `protx listdiff`: a more rich alternative of `protx diff` RPC. Currently, `protx diff` is returning data only required from SPV for SML Coinbase MerkleMNListRoot calculation. Platform team needed a similar RPC returning all the MNs data in order to calculate the identities. ## How Has This Been Tested? ## Breaking Changes ## Checklist: _Go over all the following points, and put an `x` in all the boxes that apply._ - [x] I have performed a self-review of my own code - [ ] I have commented my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [ ] I have added or updated relevant unit/integration/functional/e2e tests - [x] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [x] I have assigned this pull request to a milestone _(for repository code-owners and collaborators only)_
…stead (dashpay#5339) ## Issue being fixed or feature implemented This refactoring is a follow-up changes to backport bitcoin#17164 (PR dashpay#5314) These changes are reduce difference in implementation for our code and bitcoin's ## What was done? Removed a flag m_block_relay_peer. Instead I call IsAddrRelayPeer() that has same information now. It changes logic introduced in dashpay#4888 due to dash-specific code. ## How Has This Been Tested? It modifies the value returned by rpc getaddressinfo `labels` to an array of label name strings and deprecates the previous behavior of returning an array of JSON hash structures containing label `name` and address `purpose` key/value pairs. before ``` "labels": [ { "name": "DOUBLE SPEND", "purpose": "receive" } ``` after ``` "labels": [ "DOUBLE SPEND" ] ``` The deprecated behavior can be re-enabled by starting bitcoind with `-deprecatedrpc=labelspurpose`. For context, see: - bitcoin#17283 (comment) - http://www.erisian.com.au/bitcoin-core-dev/log-2019-12-13.html#l-425 (lines 425-427) - http://www.erisian.com.au/bitcoin-core-dev/log-2019-11-22.html#l-622 Reviewers: This PR may be tested manually by building, then running bitcoind with and without the `-deprecatedrpc=labelspurpose` flag while verifying the rpc getaddressinfo help text and `labels` output. Next steps: deprecate the rpc getaddressinfo `label` field (EDIT: done in bitcoin#17585) and add support for multiple labels per address. This PR will unblock those. …er isn't relevant a04d178 perf: use unordered_set / unordered_map where order isn't relevant (pasta) Pull request description: ## Issue being fixed or feature implemented We use std::set and std::map where we do not care about order, and it's mostly serves as a lookup. I couldn't find any instances in the code where we actually care about the ordering of these sets or maps. In this case, we should probably prefer using unordered_set and unordered_map. ## What was done? Converted these sets / maps into their unordered equivalent . ## How Has This Been Tested? Did a few quickbench to ensure there isn't some significant advantage to using the "worse" data structure at small sizes. these used sizes up to around 1000 instances per map / set, as this is the max number of connects we are every likely to see. set: https://quick-bench.com/q/ApPAGguzG2F9AnqM2GkgDAXCzX4 map: https://quick-bench.com/q/PXDdF0HVGpiSmC9Hh5FUSTp0uJU In this we see there is never a reason to use set over unordered_set, assuming that order isn't important. Using unordered_map did show a small insertion regression for ~expected sizes on masternodes, but it appears that only 1 lookup will compensate for that overhead, and based on the codepaths, I expect more than 1 lookup per insertion. some perf results I have are here, show that this std::set usage is causing at least a measurable cpu usage. ``` - 9.18% 0.00% d-mncon dashd [.] CConnman::ThreadOpenMasternodeConnections(CDeterministicMNManager&, CMasternodeMetaMan&, CMasternodeSync&)::{lambda()#▒ - CConnman::ThreadOpenMasternodeConnections(CDeterministicMNManager&, CMasternodeMetaMan&, CMasternodeSync&)::{lambda()#1}::operator()() const ▒ + 6.16% CConnman::IsMasternodeOrDisconnectRequested(CService const&) ▒ - 2.66% std::set<CService, std::less<CService>, std::allocator<CService> >::count(CService const&) const ▒ - std::_Rb_tree<CService, CService, std::_Identity<CService>, std::less<CService>, std::allocator<CService> >::find(CService const&) const ▒ - 2.02% std::_Rb_tree<CService, CService, std::_Identity<CService>, std::less<CService>, std::allocator<CService> >::_M_lower_bound(std::_Rb_tree_node<CService> const▒ + 1.99% std::less<CService>::operator()(CService const&, CService const&) const ▒ + 0.62% std::less<CService>::operator()(CService const&, CService const&) const ``` ## Breaking Changes None ## Checklist: _Go over all the following points, and put an `x` in all the boxes that apply._ - [ ] I have performed a self-review of my own code - [ ] I have commented my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [ ] I have added or updated relevant unit/integration/functional/e2e tests - [ ] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [x] I have assigned this pull request to a milestone _(for repository code-owners and collaborators only)_ ACKs for top commit: UdjinM6: utACK a04d178 knst: utACK a04d178 Tree-SHA512: 18a11d5ec55a0a96e4fa41694e11de628b84a7819112eae47591803aa0a8729bde38f8b9d93c91a52d3be481d68d1be7e03e130932c4480210e98cd35825a018

Despite measures to reign in disk usage ([source](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/26ea618b81084c74c0a9bb1fed5321012c1ac8ac/ci/dash/slim-workspace.sh)), we are experiencing sporadic failures due to space exhaustion ([build](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/actions/runs/13572578591/job/37941577942), [build](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/actions/runs/13572201698/job/37940403595)). To take care of this, we are going to extract portions of our `ci` container into `ci-slim`, containing only the parts needed to run (sanitizer-enabled) binaries, functional tests and (some) linters. ## Additional Information * We have used [`edrevo/dockerfile-plus`](https://github.com/edrevo/dockerfile-plus) to allow container definitions inherit other container definitions, which has allowed for a ready-to-use interactive container ([`develop`](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/26ea618b81084c74c0a9bb1fed5321012c1ac8ac/contrib/containers/develop/Dockerfile)) to be built on top of our CI container ([`ci`](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/26ea618b81084c74c0a9bb1fed5321012c1ac8ac/contrib/containers/ci/Dockerfile)) with ease (introduced in [dash#4336](dashpay#4336)). Unfortunately, since then, there has been little activity at [`edrevo/dockerfile-plus`](https://github.com/edrevo/dockerfile-plus), last code contribution was ~4 years ago ([commit](edrevo/dockerfile-plus@90dc08d)) and as this PR splits off `ci` to `ci-slim`, it appears `dockerfile-plus` has difficulty in working with `Dockerfiles` that inherit other `Dockerfiles` (see below). <details> <summary>Error message:</summary> ``` $ docker-compose build #0 building with "default" instance using docker driver [...] #1 [container internal] load build definition from Dockerfile #1 transferring dockerfile: 1.57kB done #1 DONE 0.0s [...] #7 [container internal] load build definition from Dockerfile #7 DONE 0.0s failed to solve: failed to create LLB definition: dockerfile parse error line 9: unknown instruction: INCLUDE+ ``` </details> To mitigate this, we are switching over to [`devthefuture/dockerfile-x`](https://codeberg.org/devthefuture/dockerfile-x), which come with minor changes in syntax. * As [`devthefuture/dockerfile-x`](https://codeberg.org/devthefuture/dockerfile-x) (like [`edrevo/dockerfile-plus`](https://github.com/edrevo/dockerfile-plus)) relies on BuildKit, it has been explicitly enabled for GitLab, without which, it fails ([build](https://gitlab.com/dashpay/dash/-/jobs/9276738177#L194)). * As scoping in `Dockerfile`s are relative to the `Dockerfile` itself ([source](https://codeberg.org/devthefuture/dockerfile-x#scoping)), `develop/Dockerfile` can include `ci/Dockerfile` by setting the context one directory behind (which is possible for the root `Dockerfile`) but when `ci/Dockerfile` is parsed, it will search within the `ci` folder and not from the context folder set earlier and so, including `ci-slim/Dockerfile` would come up empty as it would resolve to `ci/ci-slim/Dockerfile`, which doesn't exist. To work around this, both `ci` and `ci-slim` definitions need to share the same directory and to allow for that, `ci/Dockerfile` is now `ci/ci.Dockerfile`, so that `develop/Dockerfile` can set the context a directory behind, find `ci/ci.Dockerfile`, which will search within `ci` for `./ci-slim.Dockerfile`, which will be found successfully. * We have switched away from using the official LLVM installation script to importing the repository manually as we need only a select few packages to run sanitizer-enabled builds and functional tests and the script only gives you a choice between default packages and all packages. * While avoiding LLVM packages entirely in the `ci-slim` container was most desirable, doing so breaks sanitizer builds ([build](https://github.com/kwvg/dash/actions/runs/13585208794/job/37981496193#step:6:2571)) * Switching over to manual import also let us drop a few packages as the script has to probe and work around bugs while our base environment remains relatively similar. * Space occupied by containers. Calculated by modifying `develop/docker-compose.yml` to point at different `Dockerfile`s and building them with `docker compose`, then passing them to [dive](https://github.com/wagoodman/dive) v0.12.0. | Name | Commit | Size | Efficiency Score | Potential Waste | | --------- | -------------------- | ------ | ---------------- | --------------- | | `ci` | `develop` (26ea618) | 4.4 GB | 99% | 74 MB | | `develop` | `develop` (26ea618) | 4.5 GB | 99% | 78 MB | | `ci-slim` | This PR (db6a3fd0) | 1.6 GB | 97% | 64 MB | | `ci` | This PR (db6a3fd0) | 4.3 GB | 99% | 70 MB | | `develop` | This PR (db6a3fd0) | 4.3 GB | 99% | 74 MB | ## Checklist - [x] I have performed a self-review of my own code - [x] I have commented my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [x] I have added or updated relevant unit/integration/functional/e2e tests **(note: N/A)** - [x] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [x] I have assigned this pull request to a milestone _(for repository code-owners and collaborators only)_ ACKs for top commit: UdjinM6: utACK 76f99cd PastaPastaPasta: utACK 76f99cd Tree-SHA512: c0afc570dfc9f6db3dbacbf40b4a2416e993b5e2e503694b9b564a4e00600aa4c290b7c7395f0abc1a7b269c488ed86f4c4c2e64436f38b7ea1653057db83259

Unfortunately, as a side effect of that, failures in the benchmark suite go unnoticed by CI (see e507a51 for one such fix). With the introduction of [bitcoin#25107](bitcoin#25107) and [bitcoin#26158](bitcoin#26158), the sanity checks require significantly less overhead and should be suitable for reintroduction into the `make check` rotation. * The sanity check caught failures in the test suite ([build](https://github.com/dashpay/dash/actions/runs/16291896463/job/46003746200#step:10:206)) due to missing initialization or insufficient checking and they have been remedied in this pull request. fac04cb refactor: Add lock annotations to Active* methods (MacroFake) fac15ff Fix logical race in rest_getutxos (MacroFake) fa97a52 Fix UB/data-race in RPCNotifyBlockChange (MacroFake) fa530bc Add ChainstateManager::GetMutex(), an alias for ::cs_main (MacroFake) Pull request description: This fixes two issues: * A data race in `ActiveChain`, which returns a reference to the chain (a `std::vector`), which is not thread safe. See also below traceback. * A corrupt rest response, which returns a blockheight and blockhash, which are unrelated to each other and to the result, as the chain might advance between each call without cs_main held. The issues are fixed by taking cs_main and holding it for the required time. ``` ================== WARNING: ThreadSanitizer: data race (pid=32335) Write of size 8 at 0x7b3c000008f0 by thread T22 Mainstream it has been done in bitcoin#14673 but not properly backported so far as we hadn't use travis Sanitizers that cannot find it print raw addresses instead of source locations, and a suppression file cannot match a stack of raw addresses. Current CI image registers update-alternatives slaves for llvm-ar, llvm-cov, llvm-nm, llvm-objdump, llvm-ranlib and llvm-strip, but not llvm-symbolizer, so /usr/bin/llvm-symbolizer does not exist. That fixes issue discovered in dashpay#5379: ********* Finished testing of TrafficGraphDataTests ********* ~BitcoinApplication : Stopping thread ~BitcoinApplication : Stopped thread ==28475==WARNING: invalid path to external symbolizer! ==28475==WARNING: Failed to use and restart external symbolizer! ================================================================= ==28475==ERROR: LeakSanitizer: detected memory leaks Direct leak of 520 byte(s) in 13 object(s) allocated from: #0 0x55fc08e2353d (/builds/dashpay/dash/build-ci/dashcore-linux64_asan/src/qt/test/test_dash-qt+0x779153d) #1 0x7f7a7724bd85 (<unknown module>)
