ABOUT US

THE DECODER is an independent digital publisher covering artificial intelligence.

We cut through the noise. Our reporting is factual, thorough, and accessible, focused on what actually matters in AI rather than chasing the latest hype cycle.

We think and report globally. Based in Germany, we keep a close watch on European research and where it stands in the global race.

THE DECODER is an editorially independent publication by DEEP CONTENT, a digital media company and part of heise medien — Europe's largest tech publisher — since January 2024.

THE DECODER is financed by advertisements and sponsored posts as well as by the support of our readers. We clearly separate advertising from content and mark it as an "advertisement". There is no overlap between sponsorships and editorial content.

If you value independent reporting on AI, consider supporting us with a monthly subscription. Sharing our work on social media also helps.

For more on how we work, see our Review and Ethics Policy.
