Our Philosophy
We are committed to broadening and improving the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays. We provide individualized, scientifically-based services through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Davis, Salt Lake, Wasatch and Summit Counties, Utah.
We believe that every child has the capacity to learn. We use ABA as a methodical approach to teaching communication, social and functional living skills. We will work with your child and family to create a target-specific plan that is most essential to increasing your child’s independence and quality of life.
We prioritize a gentle approach that takes into consideration a child’s bodily autonomy and free will. We are dedicated to creating a positive, least restrictive environment wherein a child may learn, grow, and access reinforcing experiences.
We believe that ABA is merely a tool used in the broader picture of therapy. We happily work alongside other professionals, including teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, mental health providers and medical doctors.

Individualized Treatment
Each child presents a different set of strengths and weaknesses. We strive to focus on strengths so that we can meet the child where they are at, and build on their current skills and interests. We do not use a one size fits all approach, each program is tailored to individual needs and evaluated weekly by the behavior analyst.

Maintaining Client Dignity
We respect the unique individuality of each child with whom we work. We strive to reduce challenging behaviors by replacing them with functional communication and self advocacy skills. Our goal is to assist a child on the path to unlocking their full potential.

Supporting Families
We realize that Autism and other neurodivergences impact the entire family unit. We belive that celebrating neurodiversity starts in the home. Our mission is to educate and empower families so that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to support their loved one.

Frequently Ask Questions
What is ABA therapy?
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the science in which the principles of behavior are applied systematically to improve socially significant behavior and experimentation is used to identify the variables responsible for behavior change” (Cooper, Heron, & Heward, 2007). In simpler terms, ABA is the science of altering the environment and applying strategies to reduce challenging behaviors while increasing adaptive behaviors. We believe that each individual should be part of the planning process for their engagement in ABA therapy. ABA therapy targets social skills (in a neurodiversity affirming way), communication, daily living skills and more by applying evidence-based methods to improve a child’s ability to interact with their natural environment. We focus on the use of intrinsic motivation to work with the child while promoting a safe and controlled environment, giving them the best chance at success. Our approach is completely individualized for each child. We seek to understand the function (or the reason) behind each behavior with the knowledge that behavior is communication. We attempt to listen to this communication by implementing evidence-based interventions while keeping a neurodiversity-affirming approach in mind each step of the way.

How does scheduling work?
What is the process for getting started with ABA therapy?
Once insurance authorization is received, a BCBA will be assigned to the case. In the initial meeting, the BCBA will meet the family, observe the child, and assess their strengths and areas for growth using various assessment tools. Based on the results, the BCBA will develop an individualized treatment plan. After parental approval, the plan is submitted to insurance. Once approved, a team will be assigned, and services will begin.
