Our Philosophy
At Advanced Behavior Analysis, our philosophy is rooted in celebrating and embracing neurodiversity, guided by the principles of education, advocacy, inclusion, diversity, individuality, compassion, and connection.
We prioritize ongoing education to deliver evidence-based ABA services that foster learning, growth, and independence while advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals with diverse neurological profiles.
We honor each individual’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals, delivering personalized interventions with empathy and kindness. Through meaningful connections and collaborative partnerships, we create a nurturing and supportive network that extends beyond therapy sessions, promoting social connection and belonging for all.
We are committed to broadening and improving the lives of children through Applied Behavior Analysis. We provide individualized, scientifically-based services through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Davis, Salt Lake, Wasatch and Summit Counties, Utah; and throughout Colorado.
We will work with your child and family to create a target-specific plan that is most essential to increasing your child’s independence and quality of life.
Our Approach
At Advanced Behavior Analysis, we are dedicated to delivering compassionate, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that honors the unique neurotypes of every person we serve. Our practice prioritizes an assent-based model, ensuring that each individual has a voice in their therapy. We are committed to neurodiversity-affirming care, recognizing and celebrating the strengths and differences that make each person unique. Our approach is grounded in trauma-informed principles, ensuring that all interventions are sensitive to past experiences and supportive of emotional well-being.
To uphold these values, all of our staff undergo rigorous training in neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care through our own RBT training program, provided by Advanced Behavior Education. Additionally, our BCBAs engage in ongoing continuing education that emphasizes the most recent evidence-based approaches, ensuring that our care remains at the forefront of best practices. By focusing on respect, understanding, and empowerment, we create an environment where every person can thrive on their own terms.

Individualized Treatment
Each child presents a different set of strengths and weaknesses. We strive to focus on strengths so that we can meet the child where they are at, and build on their current skills and interests. We do not use a one size fits all approach, each program is tailored to individual needs and evaluated weekly by the behavior analyst.

Maintaining Client Dignity
We respect the unique individuality of each child with whom we work. We strive to reduce challenging behaviors by replacing them with functional communication and self advocacy skills. Our goal is to assist a child on the path to unlocking their full potential.

Supporting Families
We realize that Autism and other neurodivergences impact the entire family unit. We belive that celebrating neurodiversity starts in the home. Our mission is to educate and empower families so that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to support their loved one.

State of the Art Facility Created by Experts
Our clinic space contains a state-of-the-art sensory gym designed by an occupational therapist as well as a unique circle time and center rotation system that includes use of private work rooms to allow clients to focus.
We are one of the only practices in Utah who use a neurodiversity affirming practice model. As a neurodiversity affirming practice, we use methods that allow children to exercise their right to bodily autonomy. This means that we listen to both verbal and nonverbal cues (e.g. body language).
We reinforce attempts to communicate the need for personal space, breaks, sensory interventions, assistance, etc. We use hand over hand prompting as a last resort, as this is considered an intrusive intervention and we strive to create an environment where children can learn with the least restrictive supports in place.
Statistically, Autistic children are 6-7 times more likely to be victims of sexual assault. Our mission to reduce physical prompting and teach self advocacy skills and bodily autonomy has a lot to do with keeping every child safe throughout their lives.
We are constantly updating and improving upon our policies and procedures as well as how we train our team to ensure the best quality treatment for our clients and staff.
Our administration model is unique and offers heavy oversight to our technicians and behavior analysts to ensure quality treatment and experience for our clients and their families.
