Feel the news on your terms.

Common.Vision turns a flood of sources into a calm, readable feed — with AI summaries, emotional context, and controls that put you in charge of how the news affects you. Here's how to get the most out of it.

Getting started

Open the feed. Browse the public feed right away — no account needed to read.

Sign in to personalize — save favorites, set a reading persona, and build summaries.

Add your sources. Use Add Feed in the top bar, or import an OPML file, to shape the feed around what you care about.

Core features

The Feed & Refine

Every article is summarized and tagged with topics, entities, sentiment, and a human-impact score. Open Refine to filter by tags, entities, sentiment, impact level, and timeframe — and narrow the firehose to exactly your beat.

Reading Balance

Common.Vision shows the emotional weight of what you're reading so a hard news day doesn't sneak up on you. The goal isn't more news — it's awareness of how it's landing.

Personas

Choose a persona and articles are re-rendered in a tone that suits you — calmer, more analytical, more concise. Switch any time from the persona selector in the top bar; your feed adapts instantly.

Custom Summaries

Define a topic once and get a recurring, AI-assembled briefing — the gist of everything that matched, without re-reading the feed. Manage them under Summaries.

Speed Reader

Click the (|) icon on any article card to read it word-by-word (RSVP). It honors your persona's text, so you speed-read the same version you see on the card.

Immersive reading (VR)

On a WebXR headset, the View in VR / Enter XR buttons open a spatial reading room — articles, imagery, and topics float around you. On other devices these buttons stay hidden.

Favorites & history

Like an article to keep it in Favorites. Read state is tracked so you can tell new from seen at a glance.

Account Feeds (partners)

Partners can build a private Beat — your own feed corpus, kept private to your account — by importing an OPML file on the partner dashboard, and read it via the API.

Tips

Light or dark. Toggle the theme from the menu in the top bar — the broadsheet adapts paper-and-ink either way.
Start narrow. A couple of tags or entities in Refine beats scrolling everything. You can always widen.
Let summaries do the reading. For topics you track daily, a Custom Summary is faster than the feed.
Watch the balance. If a day feels heavy, the reading-balance cue is telling you something — it's okay to step back.
