    50+ people accompanied Warren Kasper, manager of the Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave NCA, on a hike to the BLM’s Alleged UFO Skip Site near Corona, NM, yesterday. The event coincided with Roswell’s UFO Festival and was also a Freedom 250 event. More info: blm.gov/visit/alleged-…

    The Carlsbad area is popular w/ recreational cavers, so it is important for agencies to stay prepared for rescues. BLM, National Park Service and the City of Carlsbad Fire Dept, members of the Carlsbad area interagency cave rescue team, met Friday for emergency medical training.
