Attacks on ports in #Odesa threaten to reverse the progress in getting Ukrainian food to millions around the world. It is essential that these ports remain open, for Ukraine and for global food security. We cannot afford further disruptions to global food corridors.

My @BBCWorld interview from a shelter in Zolochiv, Kharkiv, after drone activity forced us there mid-food distribution. @WFP supports Ukrainian families on the frontline, but civilian and humanitarian casualties are increasing. The human cost of this war can't be an afterthought.

Today a @WFP armoured vehicle in #Ukraine was struck by an FPV drone while traveling back from Mezhova, Dnipropetrovsk region with a WFP truck that had offloaded food boxes for a distribution. Our staff are safe. Civilians and humanitarians must never be targets.
