My autobiography is now published on the @NobelPrize website. It covers both my personal and professional life, highlighting the decisions and events that have had the biggest impact. I appreciate the opportunity to tell my story. Hope you enjoy reading it

A day to be thankful: this country gave me a chance with a great education and support for basic research. And for my labbies and collaborators for partnering with me. So glad @NancyAHong captured this "touching" moment. #PIEZO

Thank you #Armenia for shining a limelight on #science and honoring scientists. Yes! This is an actual stamp with my face on it, tweeps! I am trying to figure out how to process all this...

I received another disappointing un-fundable score for my @NIH grant today. I am privileged, and I realize no-one wants to hear me complain. Just sharing to make the point that everyone experiences this kind of feedback, and that it never stops from stinging! 1/3

I apologize in advance... there will be a lot of @NobelPrize celebration tweets coming up! This is from yesterday: with my mentor and President of @scrippsresearch Pete Schultz, my dear Dorris Neuroscience faculty, and my incredible lab-mates!

It is wonderful that the world is stepping up to support Ukrainians. And I hope everyone responds just as passionately when atrocities are perpetrated against people in Asia, the Middle East, or Africa. I know Armenians would have loved some more support last year.
