Turns out a mutual of mine went to high school with Magnione and was on the wrestling team with him. Says he was the class valedictorian. He had back surgery a few months ago and went missing. No one had heard from him.

🚨INVESTIGATION: Private equity giants are buying up youth sports facilities & banning parents from taking photos/videos of their own kids, instead forcing them to pay for photos. When parents ignore the bans, the companies punish the kids. What stage of capitalism is this?

I’m still baffled that Harris at Univision town hall kept touting her endorsement by Bush’s AG Alberto Gonzales (who resigned in disgrace) as though that would mean anything to the audience. Kinda sums up how well this catering to the center right is going

In 1991, a shoulder fired stinger missile cost $25,000. Today, Raytheon is the sole source supplier to the Pentagon for the same weapon which now costs about $400,000, a seven fold increase (even accounting for marginal upgrades). You can thank Gerry Connolly.

Uber paid Obama’s council of Econ Advisors chair 100k for an NBER study lauding the benefits of “flexible gig work” for drivers. It set the terms of debate for a decade, financing wasn’t disclosed, and the findings continue to be disproven. It’s Big Tobacco level corruption.
