I'm thrilled to report that my wonderful colleagues at @FordhamLawNYC have voted to grant me tenure. I'm so lucky to have the best job with the best people in the best city.
University approval is still pending, but I'll take this as an opportunity for some public gratitude:
So sorry you had to do this just for a gift. Not me—I just learned I won the lottery!! I’m not sure exactly what the prize is, but I’m super excited to find out!
As with much of this, the consequences are so serious that “they probably won’t do it” and “we should be terrified” are compatible. If there’s a 15% chance they’ll come for Obergefell, that’s far too high for comfort.
The Teacher of the Year award goes to Associate Prof. @maggiewittlin, who joined the faculty in 2020. In her acceptance speech, Prof. Wittlin reminds the graduates that "if you look for it there is fun to be had in whatever wonderful work you end up doing."vimeo.com/711645454
News! This fall, I'm going from Lincoln to Lincoln Center, to join the @FordhamLawNYC faculty. I'm thrilled to join this incredible group of scholars. I will miss my wonderful colleagues and students at @UNLCollegeofLaw, where I've absolutely loved teaching these past four years.
