I think people are repeatedly misunderstanding the relationship here because they don’t understand who Lander is. He isn’t a Warren democrat, he was a member of DSA for many years, ID’s as a dem soc, has had numerous DSA members and anti-Zionists in his staff in the past.
How Lander and Mamdani interacted down the stretch was tactically intriguing, but I don’t know if there’s a larger lesson about cooperation between “liberals” and “socialists.” We’re talking about two guys who are probably in the 98th percentile of progressivism among politicians
